Visited this Taverna for the first time with my Wife for a weekday birthday celebration lunch and glad we did. While located inside a pub, the Taverna has its own entrance and has created a rustic Italian theme. As stated per previous reviews the staff provide a warm and friendly welcome and the Chef (Smiffy) takes a keen interest in his diners and was very solicitous, to ensure that everything was ok with our meal. While the menu was not extensive, there was a good selection of dishes available and all fo the food was freshly cooked with generous portions and was very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning

We visited yesterday evening before going to one of Gravesends famous panic room experiences. The food was absolutely amazing, every tapas dish ordered amongst the six of us was cooked to perfection and we covered a lot of dishes between us. Service was great and the staff had a great attitude and good sense of humour and accommodated for us at the end when we needed to rush the bill process to get to our next destination on time. Would have loved to have been able to stay the whole evening and enjoy tapas and wine at a slower pace but we will be back!Dear Vics,Thank you very much for writing a review on your recent visit to Alto Gusto.We also would have loved you to stay longer with us.We are very pleased that you enjoyed and are looking forward to your next visit (with more time)RegardsAlto Gusto Team
