Planet Leisure

We had our Christmas party here as a group of about 70 adults and children. Kenny, the supervisor I liaise with was so welcoming and very understanding. We booked the Maple lodge and catering for food. We all enjoyed ourselves, children played laser quest, trampolining and skating with the adults booking 3 lanes of bowling. A special thank you to the lady at the bar upstairs who was helping us on the day...very helpful, friendly and went out of her way to offer help when needed. Overall, it's a good place to host large groups of people with children because the activities offered are for all age groups. Food was lovely too..thanks to the chef that served us on the day. Have a Merry Christmas and a Prosperous New Year Planet Leisure staff...from the 4Scots Regiment Fijian Communtiy!

Cobblers Hall

Cobblers Hall in Newton Aycliffe is a lovely local that’s full of character. We’re all pub people here, so you’ll always get a smile and a friendly word when you come in. Our pub is like a second home. Feel free to pop in for a quiet pint, bring the family in for a meal, or have a big night out with all your friends. We’re that kind of pub. Come in, find your favourite chair, and chill for a while. Or head for the beer garden and heated patio. Grab a spot and let the kids blow off a little steam in the adventure play area. Food is served every day from a big menu loaded with pub classics as well as our fantastic new stone baked pizza oven ! And we have a great range of drinks behind the bar. See you soon!

Stopped here for lunch after visiting the cemetery and on route to Newcastle. The pub is clean and tastefully decorated. Menu has lots to choose from and even has a smaller portion lunch menu Mon-Friday which was great for us. We chose the 2 courses and I had the nachos followed by ham and eggs which even though they were the smaller portion sizes there was 2 eggs & 2slices of ham and chips. My daughter had the hunters chicken and chips and side salad which she couldn’t finish and ice cream. Very tasty and delicious and definitely filled us up. The staff were very pleasant and helpful will definitely visit again when I’m up that part of the world again.

I take my grandchildren here on a regular basis. There are loads of activities such as slides, climbing, soft play, football, ball pools etc etc. One particular highlight for me is the food, which is great quality and value. Entry price is excellent value in my opinion and on average we always spend 3 or 4 hours there The staff are great and very helpful
