We return time and time again due to the exceptional dishes on offer. You can't go past the donburi, its consistently delicious served with a miso. My Fav is the teriyaki tofu but the chicken is equally divine. At $11 it's the best value lunch in town. The other dishes are also exceptional. I love the tempura and teriyaki set which is among many of the other sets available. The service is always attentive and friendly. Keiko always remembers our names which makes us feel very welcome. Highly recommend, can get busy so may pay to book. Only open at lunchtime...

My partner and I visited here on a Thursday evening. Neither of us had been before and had our expectations exceeded. My partner got the prawn teppanyaki and I got the salmon dinner box. Both meals were excellent quality and good portion sizes. Wait service were friendly and efficient and meals came out promptly. Highly recommend, my partner and I can't wait to go back and explore more of the menu.

Japanese restaurant owned by Japanese chef. Enjoy Japanese Tapas, Izakaya style at dinner!! You can share the food with your family and friends. We offer popular set meals at lunch.
Ate here Tuesday evening. Izakaya - casual, small plates - style Japanese classics. I had agedashi tofu, nigiri plate, edamame with Orion beer, sake and Japanese whisky. All excellent quality and that indefinable Japanese aesthetic. Lovely attentive and friendly service. Interior is nicely sparse and minimalist Japanese - lots of timber. Japanese artefacts and pop culture on the walls add to the atmosphere. Well worth a visit in the food zone of Hamilton. Something different from the more generic offerings in this strip. Owners and operators have clearly put in a lot of effort to make the offering authentic and high quality. Recommended.

A decent Japanese Restaurant at affordable price, located in Hamilton city centre. Open seven days at 12:00-10:00PM. Edo is aiming to offer genuine Japanese Cuisine by the effort of our chefs with the freshest ingredients and concerns for details. Various
I went there on my birthday last week with my 2 kids. The waitress was very nice and friendly but unfortunately, the food was very bad.My daughter said her udon was good, but her salmon sushi tasted very fishy (which meant it wasn't fresh) and she woke up in the middle of the night with stomach ache and had to go to the toilet. My son's chicken & egg rice was ok, the egg white could have been cooked a little bit more coz it looked like slime on top of the rice. But the worse was my beef rice. The beef was dry and hard, there was no sauce at all, and it smelt like dog food. I have worked in a commercial dog food company for 6 years so I know what dog food smells like. But because it was my birthday dinner, I tried to eat it and didn't want to make a big fuss.I don't think I will go back again even though the service was good. Sorry.
