My husband and I recently visited Porto Cervo and found Retro Risto Café on trip advisor. We love to try different local restaurants instead of eating at the hotels. This restaurant had a wonderful vibe, surrounded by friendly staff and a welcoming environment. The food was absolutely delicious, it was so delicious that we dined her two nights during our stay! We highly recommend the Spaghetti and clams, mussels, and the pasta with pesto. The second night we can was a Saturday and they were a lot busier then when we came on a Thursday so I would recommend calling them for a reservation that way you can be sure you are able to try this great restaurant.

We came across Retrogusto a couple of nights ago and it was a lovely find. Set at the old marina end of the promenade, it has a pretty terrace area which is perfect for enjoying the warm summer evenings, but what makes this place really special is the well-researched selection of speciality food and drink which makes a refreshing difference from the many other places in the area: international cheeses including a delcious Stilton, sweet and savoury biscuits and crackers, cured meats, caviar, and a fascinating selection of spirits, wines and champagnes, all to take away or eat on the spot. We will definitely be back!

Good food, but pricy considering that the food is not amazing. Nice restaurant, but that is all. They certainly charge for the nice location. Good atmosphere. Ristorante carino, cucina gradevole ma nulla di eccezionale, i camerieri si dimenticano tutto, non sono cortesi. Inoltre tutta sera durante la cena câè stato un cantante ( nemmeno intonato) che cantava avvicinandosi a 2 cm dalla faccia delle persone , troppo maleducato e fastidioso. Abbiamo chiesto più volte di diminuire almeno il volume per riuscire a parlare mentre cenavamo ma non ci hanno minimamente ascoltato anzi.

Set up high on a hill over looking the marina. This view is stunning! Book outside, inside is a bit so-so. Service was very good. Attentive. My pasta course was good, but not amazing. However the fresh grilled fish was amazing! It's brought to the table to view whole, then deboned at the table. Good wine, good views, good food!
