Worst motel stay ever
Reviewed By ronsW2715ADNo heat in room ,were told it was turned off as it is spring! We're given 2 heaters to warm room.Pooĺ not filled and won't be. Lounge experience poor.Bar man owner rude.Did not stay for breakfast as just wanted to be gone.Sigma was full so could not move.

Out of the dozens of hotels that I've stayed in, this one was definitely the worst.
Reviewed By rachelgoesvroomvroomMy co-worker, Andrea, already wrote a review but having been one of the 3 people that ended up staying the night, I have a few things to add in addition to what she already said about the erratic and harassing behavior exhibited by the owner and another staff member. For one, the hot water in my room did not work. When I tried turning on the hot water in the shower, absolutely no water came out. Secondly, the tub in the other room (which I had to take a shower in due to the above issues) didn't drain well. By the time that my short shower was finished, the water was past my ankles. Third, the smell. She mentioned that the rest of the hotel smelled like sewage and while that smell was mostly absent from the rooms themselves, they smelled musty. Four, about an hour after we got there, me and two others were walking down the hallway when the owner came around a corner, blocking our path, and began hammering us with questions about how many people were in our rooms, how long they would be there, and kept repeating over and over that there was no smoking in the rooms... Despite the fact that he had seen us all filing out of the hotel several times to smoke at that point. He then demanded to know who was paying for the room and insisted that I get her and bring her to the front to pay.. Instead of allowing her to pay in the morning, as was the initial arrangement, and that she write down all of her contact and identification information on a piece of paper. Now, I don't know about you, but I really don't appreciate being treated like a criminal by the owner of a hotel when I decide to rent one of his rooms. We were always polite and considerate when we interacted with him and his staff (wife?), which was only on a few occasions when a couple of people went to the bar for a beer or snacks, and we were treated like trash in return. It's no wonder that we were the only people in the entire hotel. What could've been good, consistent business for him, ended with all of us unwilling to ever give him our business again, at his hotel or the attached restaurant.

Best Stay in Long While
Reviewed By WingRider2011We were treated top notch and had a very clean and nice room. Morning breakfast is available to go. We were wonderfully impressed. Thanks again to Jass for the top professional service. We will stop here again for sure. Rooms were filling up in town and we were happy to have found this hotel.

We were warmly greeted upon arrival, shown to our rooms, given tips on places to eat and things to do in Melville and the morning we departed we were given homemade blueberry muffins. The room pricing was also excellent - just $60. But there's always a catch and with the Melsask it is very outdated rooms. They are clean but could use a serious update whether it be the carpets, bathroom floor tiles and even the window air conditioner. I guess you do get what you pay for. Plenty of parking right outside your room and it is a short walk into town where there are a couple of restaurants. The WiFi is free and fast and there's a decent selection of stations on the TV.

Reviewed By Bob TAn older "motel".Dated but clean with comfortable beds Courteous owner Stayed over a few days to take in a base ball tournament , newer / larger hotels all booked with early reservations Front rooms at motel were booked but I was able to get a room at the back . Not a bad choice for a quick stay over if purpose is for a place to sleep. In a quite district. Priced right .
