This is an upscale restaurant and you will be charged for bread/butter and table setting regardless if you want it… this charge is not uncommon in top restaurants in Argentina. Here it was 20 peso, not that much. At “La Querencia Restaurant” the service was very good, the ambience very nice and the food was wonderful. I had the special house salad, the Surubi fish plate (see photo, huge amount of fish – enough for two) and ½ bottle of white wine and with everything paid $24USD. For Posadas this is the #1 choice for sit down dining. Highly recommended. Note: Dinner starts at 8pm… closed on Sunday for Dinner.

Restaurant is located off one of the town's main squares. All personnel were friendly and service was typically slow. Food was mediocre at best or should I say at worst. I ordered what was something like chicken parmesan. A dry overcookd breaded piece of chicken was covered with a bland tomatoe based sauce, covered in cheese that had no taste then layered with some type of cold cut ham and something else I can't quite remember. I scraped off everything and ate the dry chicken. Someone else ordered ravioli that wasn't bad yet wasn't good. The best I can say is that after a day visiting the falls we were hungry and the food filled us up.

Our guide took us here for lunch because this is where the upper and lower trails meet. It was air conditioned (thank goodness as it was really hot outside). Lunch was buffet style. There was a slight queue for the meats (as some was still being cooked) but there was a choice of salads and vegetables to be selected whilst waiting. It was possible to go back for more, if you were still hungry after your first plateful. There was also a good choice of deserts. As it was a set price for the buffet lunch, there was no difficulty when it came to paying as only drinks were extra

This is a small, family-run (I think) operation. The host and server were lovely and despite limited language abilities, we communicated effectively. The wine list provided did not accurately represent the choices available, but the proprietor brought out the options from which we selected a very tasty pinot noir (300AR). Our meal order included gnocchi, ribs, and salad. We ordered to share between 2 people and the portions were fair (the salad generous). The gnocchi was light and tender but the red sauce was not very flavorful. The ribs were somewhat grisly compared to others we had in Argentina, but they were cooked to order "a medio" with some pink in the center. Prices are fair compared to other more touristy restaurants. The food is simple parailla fare: grilled meat, salad, some pasta.
