When entering, we immediately felt a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The large fireplace is very attractive in autumn and winter and, together with a nice soft music in the background, is inviting guest to inter and settle down for a drink with a book or for a nice moment with friends. We went for a salmon toast and for an “americain”. Both were served within few minutes and were gorgeous. Absolutely fresh, very tasty, top class. Beautiful presentation, all was perfect. The 'americain' was surprisingly, served with a lot of fresh vegetables and some potatoes. The mini tomatoes were so nice, tasty and crispy. So was also the lettuce and other fresh vegetables. The advocado was perfectly smooth. Nice choice of regional beers. Top coffee and tea with a biscuit. The service was very efficient, very friendly, with marvellous smile. We will be pleased to be back as soon as we can. A real gem!Dear Martin,Thanks for your visit and for the very nice comment.Your enthousiasm is very motivating for our team and will inspire to continue with the same spirit! We hope to meet you soon again.Kind regards,Lieve, Sofie & Koen

Location, interior decoration, outside terrace with herb garden, open kitchen, service, owners' personal welcome and interaction, all perfect ... as mentioned in many previous review reports (except for the Italian less talented tourist who thought this was a McDonalds). So why don't I rate this restaurant as excellent (yet)? In this restaurant you will experience a completely different gastromical adventure than in any other place in the world. It is a heaven of tastes. With herbs, plants and spices all coming from the chef's own garden. The problem is my frame of reference. How can I situate this experience comparing it to something similar? I have to be strict and fall back on my own taste system, which flagged some caveats. In one dish, there are so many ingredients that it takes the lady of the house ten minutes to recite them all. No problem with that, but how can you make something consistent as a concept with thirty-two tastes? My advice would be to reduce the number of ingredients - and the number of tastes - in order to build a stringer concept - and a stronger taste. A second advice would be to provide more food. This is not about eating, but about tasting, and visitors should be warned more strongly in advance. This is certainly one of the most interesting restaurants in the world, with exciting food, magnificent ambiance and great service. Combined with the excellent company we had at our table, it was an evening to remember. On the downside: expensive bill, mainly due to the expensive wines (by the glass).

My friends and I visited Kortrijk and we decided to eat on this restaurant based on the comments we read on tripadvisor. Our experience was quite dissapointing. We found the place extremely overpriced to simply eat a "fancy" sandwich (14e for a sandwich with cheese and ham and four leaves of lettuce???!!!!!)...but the worst part was the foccaccia, simply uneatable! 12 euros for a foccaccia that tasted more like a two days old bread and some philadelphia on top! Incredible!...and well the pasta was another drama; overcooked half kilo pasta with tons of creamy sauce :( They want to be a "cool/modern" restaurant but the quality was not good at all. The only good thing about the restaurant was the staff, all of them were very friendly.

Business lunch meeting.Maybe is the sharing concept not always the best way. It depends of course on the relationship you have with your client. For us, this was no problem. At noon, you can’t eat à la carte, only one lunch no choice. It was very tasty, people are friendly and good service. Very nice restaurant also, modern and tasteful. For people who loves a lot on their plate is this restaurant not the best choice I think.
