They brew it downstairs snd sell it upstairs. Great quality beer with some unique tropical pales & porters on tap. Friendly atmosphere, a great local business worth supporting.

Belvoir Brewery

Reviewed By Yatforthedoh - Loughborough, United Kingdom

41 Club is a UK association of ex Round Tablers. And so it was that as my penultimate monthly even as Current Chairman, I organised a trip to Belvoir Brewery for a merry band of 9 +driver. We received a friendly welcome from Colin, ably assisted by Michael (an ex pub landlord) behind the bar. Colin is clearly passionate about his business as a brewer and purveyor of great beers! After an interesting visit 'behind the scenes', coupled an informative talk by Colin on his "career in brewing', and the processes and materials involved in the craft of brewing, we retired to the lovely bar / restaurant to sample Colin's wares, and enjoy some delightful local produce as part of our" Tour Package". More beers followed before we poured ourselves on to our mini bus, for the drive home. An excellent evening out, which thoroughly recommended to beer buff. Or just take a lovely drive out for a light snack, a glass of beer, and be sure to take some bottles away with you to be enjoyed at home! "Thank you Colin and Michael" for a thoroughly enjoyable and informative evening!

Tollgate Brewery

Away from the hustle and bustle of UK cities you'll find our 6-barrel craft brewery, nestled in the heart of the National Forest, on the National Trusts Calke Abbey Estate. A microbrewery with a big ambition. We use traditional brewing techniques and equipment to produce the finest ales for the modern pallet.

We had such a lovely afternoon here in the countryside between Ashby de la Zouch and Calke Abbey. Friendly service and picturesque views. The brewery offer an interesting range of beers, ciders and wines. The Skylark sparkling cider was delicious and refreshing. Of course my husband had the locally brewed beer. No food but crisps available. Check dates of street food events. Inside and outside seating with parking for bikes and cars.

Beer Pharmacie

Micropub set in a 1950s chemist theme. Purveyors of Real Ale, Craft Beers & Ciders, Artisan Gins & Spirits, Traditional Pub Food, Tea & Coffee

Reviewed By CompleteF1 - Leicester, United Kingdom

I've visited the Beer Pharmacie on several occasions and am very impressed with the place, a great selection of Ales, Lagers and Ciders backed up by a wide range of Gins. With a quirky 50's Pharmacy theme. The Owners are very welcoming and the Bar Staff very knowledgeable about their products. Because the place is so busy there is a good turnover of beers and the selection is different every time you visit. They have recently opened an upstairs Vinyl Lounge with Games and Darts which gives a nice location just to sit and chat with a 50's Movie/Music Theme. The Downstairs Bar area gets pretty busy at peak times but with quite a bit of seating it is usually possible to get a seat, The bar does allow children in as long as they are under control up until 19:00. Occasional Live entertainment is also a feature of the place. There is a small selection of Bar Snacks available and a small range of canned and bottled beers to take away if you want to keep the party going...
