Practically the only place where you can get good lunch or dinner on a tour to Ferapontovo and/or Kirillov
Reviewed By Sergey KActually, it is first of all a ski resort but they are open all year round so it would be a good idea to come to them whenever you travel to Ferapontovo or Kirillov. It would take you literally minutes to drive there from either place and not a problem to find it. The final kilometer is rather bumpy but explorable for any car (we took that road after two days of constant rains). If you travel in summer do get in touch with them in advance, discuss the menu and book a table since this is a low season for them. (I have no idea though if they speak English.) Anyway, the staff is very friendly and hospitable. Due to coronavirus schizophrenia I rang then up two weeks before our trip and got a preliminary OK. Then, as they asked, I repeated my phone call in the morning of our departure day and we discussed remaining details so when we arrived hor d'oeuvres (salads) had already been on the table. They served us in a cozy paviliion on a lawn with nice view on the opposite hill which in winter time serves as a slope. We took seafood salad, veal salad, nettle soup (Russian style, not cream!) with enormous amount of boiled beef in it, lamb broth, beef stroganoff (another Russian invention - meat in sour cream sauce) prepared in a hollow loaf of typically Russian sourdough rye (Borodinsky) bread, chiken patties, "zharioshka", i.e. chantarelles fried with pieces of smoked sausages and potatoes in an open pan as well as cranberry mors (Russian non-carbonated sweet berry drink). The food was mostly superb except for the chicken patties which, unfotunately, were tasteless and even tough, like rubber. On the other hand, beef in rye bread and zharioshka were absolute hits. The service was jet-quick and we hardly managed to finish our dishes before new ones appeared. Our waitress was reserved and even somewhat shy but professional and attentive. After lunch we went to the resort reception to settle our bill and I had a look at their rooms which looked rather nice and spacious. The bill, by the way, was ridiculous - just RUR 3,690 (USD 52) for five persons! Unbelievable! The territory is currently under transformation. They are building an open-air swimming pool so partly it's a construction site. Still, it is not at all a nuisance since it's relatively small in size, remoted and the works do not influence the whole atmosphere that much. Strongly recommended. Head and shoulders ahead of all possible competitors. Don't even try other places - pointless.

Reviewed By BusTravellerMSKБыли в Глухарином доме с 5 по 7 января. В целом, очень понравилось. 1) Место - в лесу вдали от трассы. Расположен на возвышенности между двух озер. До Кириллова - 10 минут, до Ферапонтова - 20-25 минут 2) Номер - большое, комфортный. Хорошая мебель, красивые светильники, большой телевизор, на окнах москитные сетки; в санузле - все тоже хорошее, чистое. Немного был запах канализации. 3) Общие пространства - большой холл со вторым светом, огромной елкой, камином. Бывший владелец был охотник - весь отель оформлен в стиле охотничьего дома с огромной (музейного масштаба) коллекцией чучел разных животных, птиц и т.д. Есть неплохой бильярдный стол, но с убитыми киями 4) территория - очень уютно и обустроено, есть детская площадка, всякие предметы для зимнего отдыха (лыжи с ботинками, валенки, снегокат и тд). На озере есть терраса, но зимой сложно оценить, что там есть 5) Главный недостаток - питание. Оно неплохое (домашний стиль), но космически дорогое. За такие деньги можно поесть в хорошем московском ресторане. Например, порция 15 пельменей - 500 рублей, суп с несколькими фрикадельками - 450 рублей. Владельцы явно зарабатывают на монополии - в окрестностях нет нормальных точек питания, но от этого удивления не меньше 6) еще один недостаток - wifi работает только на первом этаже и не очень хорошо, при этом мобильный интернет в номерах -EDGE. Так что любителям поработать в поездке - не сюда0 В целом, отличное место, наверное, лучшее для поездки в эти места. Несмотря на раздражение на цены на питание, готов поехать еще раз и рекомендовать друзьям7

Reviewed By Kitty082013это ведомственная гостиница, занимает 3-й мансардный этаж в небольшом здании... до монастыря идти минут 5-10... на этаже расположено всего 6 номеров: один семейный (с большой кроватью, диваном, ТВ), 2 номера 4-местных, 1 трехместный и 3 двухместных, без ТВ... есть общая кухня с холодильником, гладильная доска... в номерах кондиционеры, водонагреватели и гидромассажные душевые кабинки... все новенькое... батареи электрические.. есть бесплатный Wi-Fi... если вас много - замечательный вариант!
