Ristorante Pizzeria Laccoria

Family run restaurant, rustic atmosphere ideal for families, thanks to the large garden for children to play. Our restaurant offers an outstanding view of the Tower of Radicofani and the town of Abbadia San Salvatore, in an environment far from town. The

We had lunch at this restaurant on Tuesday mid March. We were the only tourists. All others were locals. All of us had a pasta dish. They were all just perfect and quite huge. The restaurant is located in the woods just outside Abaddia. We can higly recommend this restaurant and it is not expensive.

Our last Tuscan restaurant before driving back to Switzerland:One of the best reasons for soon coming back!We were the only foreign table amongst Italian ones. Most of them, regular customers. Many thanks to TA for this discovery, hidden in the Val d'Orcia.A quiet terrace on the green Tuscany landscape, for a momentous Sunset.A Nobile di Montepulciano, Riserva. Large glasses. Powerful.Flavours & fragrances, subtle blends between our plates and close natural herbs.A welcoming family feel, and so professional. An efficient service, always al tempo.A Pasta, full of finesse.A Tagliata, full of aromas.& Dolce... - the BEST Tiramisù of the (culinary) galaxy, with top black crumbled chocolate,- Fragole with basilico, and a subtle white chocolate mousse,- Crispy Contucci with a delicious Sicilian dessert wine, bottle on the table.& a lemon digestive della Casa, much better than the ordinary limoncello.Squisito!& excellent quality-price ratio (120€, incl. 50 for wines)We shall come back!C&E

After climbing up to visit the Castillo we were pleasantly surprised to find this lovely cafe/ restaurant. We stopped for a drink before exploring the castle, which I had to say was very impressive with amazing 360d views and then decided to have lunch there. The food was simple homemade Tuscan fare, delicious and enough choice to satisfy our very fussy 8 and 11 yr old boys! The service was friendly and we didn't struggle as they all spoke very good English! We would definitely recommend a stop here!

The walk from Querico D' Orcia, along the Via Francigena, was amazing! We arrived in Castiglione D' Orcia a little after sunset. Though there were no hotel rooms available in town, a staff person at the Le Rocche bar helped arrange a room for us, in a beautiful house with an amazing view of the castle. Thank you! We returned for dinner after checking into our room. It was wonderful. Friendly staff, efficient service and tremendous food. One of the best meals of our trip.

Trattoria La Tagliola

I enjoy eating at La Tagliola because the large fireplace is so nice, especially after a motorbike ride in the crisp, cold weather of Mount Amiata in early February! The owners are very nice and advice on the daily specialities. With a fellow motorbike rider, we enjoyed the antipasto with ham, bruschetta, crostini and mouthwatering sweet onions. Then we got presented with two small servings of soups, one with mushrooms and the other the traditional ribollita. We also tasted the local ravioli and tagliatelle pastas followed by a small sausage and steak barbecued. The price was very reasonable, just to add to the appeal of this little gem. Make sure you don’t miss it!
