We have been here a few times but lately the staff seem to be more interested in other employees and friends. They forget about customers. Food is good and well priced.

Simcoe Arms

My sister recommended this place to me. Had never realized it was there. She recommended the fish and chips because it was good so I got that and she was right! Delicious! The batter was golden and crispy, the coleslaw yummy and the fries cooked perfectly. The fish is one large piece but only a few fries. Other orders at the table were ribs, wings, Cesar salad that all got great comments from my family. They also serve panzorati. They have special ones or build your own and it comes with s fish of marinara sauce. If you love sauce then I’d recommend this, but if your not s big fan order NO SAUCE because we ordered light sauce and it still had tons plus a dish on the side. The restaurant was clean, we reserved a table so we didn’t have to wait but it’s not a large space so it fills up quickly so I’d call ahead first. Our server was very nice, bubbly and attentive. She was on the ball refilling drinks just by noticing and not having to call her over. The atmosphere is nice too. I loved the metal accent around the bar. The bathrooms were clean. This place is VERY noisy!! Because it’s a small space when it’s full I couldn’t hear what the people were saying at my own table. That I didn’t like. They also have several tv’s showing sports/nascar at the bar.

The Shire Restaurant and Brew Pub

I went with a friend and we had the macaroni and cheese...we did split it and had plenty each. We asked for an extra piece of garlic bread and it was no problem. They use 3 cheeses and there are bacon bits in it. as well. It was very creamy and delicious. The service was very good overall.

Boston Pizza

Reviewed By Mathew B

I decided to give Boston Pizza another shot. We were seated in the the restaurant area . Which the ac was broken so it was pretty hot in there. But we didn’t want to go to the bar or sit outside so we stayed there. I don’t understand why they keep changing or taking stuff we like off their menu all the time it’s really frustrating. Well the kids enjoyed their meals and we ordered the Perogie pizza which was really good. But I will probably not return back to Boston Pizza again for dinner or for lunch. I just don’t like what they have on there menu. Nothing really looks good on it except for the pizza we got and the staff isn’t that friendly or nice. Hi, Mathew. Sorry to hear that you were not satisfied with your recent experience. We take this feedback very seriously and would like to follow up with the team involved. Please share the details at https://bostonpizza.com/contact-us.html so that we can make it better! Thanks.

Circus Room Diner

Reviewed By Fraser C

Sorry to write this...but I'm still at odds over this place, as I drove past it coming home this afternoon......Three weeks ago, Carl & myself stopped into the Circus Room Diner after a job in Turkey Point.I am, a Hamburger Connoisseur. The quality of a real hamburger in my eyes will speak for the foods in the establishment proper.Carl ordered the Bacon Cheese Burger and a glass of water. (they brought him a bottle of water and charged him for it, and this is not legal in Ontario, look that up yourself) I ordered a simple Cheese Burger. Cost $ 27.00 Now understand, no fires, nothing...... simply two Burgers K ? Oh, and plus tip yet.THE Burger : was not a pure beef patty, but had filler and in MY taste buds, would be margin to a Burger King patty. Or a close second. One person here, Speaking of a Neg for THE Burger Barn ? THE Burger Barn should not even be mentioned here in a Neg form. They would rate WAY WAY higher than Circus Room for sure. In my opinion K ? Geeesssshhhhhh Eh ? But two plain burgers JUST the burgers at $ 27.00 says miles of Neg here. THEN the lack of a pure beef patty would finish the story. So I'm mixed as to what gets me more wound up here, a bad burger taste in my mouth or the stiffing of the $ 27.00 ? Good luck folks, perhaps your location will win for you ?
