staff very friendly and courteousvery slow this night considering not many there. food cooked well but some dishes with steak and mash could havea little veg on the side which doesn't mean it would cost the establishmentanything but finish the plate and appeal to the eye.

Nooms' Kitchen Thai Cuisine

Stopped at Cambridge on our way back up to Auckland, we are tourists from U.K. Fancied Thai so looked on Tripadvisor, spotted Nooms’ Kitchen so we decide to check it out. To be fair we would have walked past without Tripadvisor as quite a modest place mainly a takeaway with a handful of tables. How glad we were we stopped. We ordered 4 dishes and they were all excellent, the Pineapple fried rice was my favourite. In the UK we have paid twice the price for food that is nowhere near as good. Give Nooms’ a try you will be glad you did!!!! Great food

Thai Cambridge

Decided to try our local Thai restaurant up the road from us. Unfortunately it wasn't a great first visit. We ordered a ginger fish dish and lamb chops. Seeing as it is a busy establishment when we go past it, we were expecting something good. The fish dish was lacking fish. We counted 6 pieces of fried fish covered with the usual amount of vegetables. The fish was rubbery and overcooked. These felt like they may have been frozen at one stage. The sauce was amazing though. The lamb chops was also lacking. Four small lamb chops with the same vegetables and this time we could not eat the lamb as they were way too tough and overcooked again. When we asked about the amount of fish on the dish, our waiter agreed it was "light" on fish. We asked to swap the lamb dish for a small chicken cashew dish and this was much better, good sauce and well cooked chicken. For $27 for 4 pieces of overcooked lamb and $27.50 for 6 pieces of rubbery fish we found this to be one of the worst Thai meals we've had. Hopefully it was just us and a one off, but for the price of the meals, this was very poor.
