Curry Cottage at Lovers Leap

A lovely meal in a smart restaurant on a very rainy Monday night! The restaurant was not busy(due to weather I guess). The waiter(Pap) was attentive and happy to advise and alter dish to my requirements. The food was well presented and tasty and the starter of Masala fish was a good choice. When booking we were advised it’s a take your own alcohol arrangement !We were shown the little area (a cave) where it’s ideal for a small party of people in a unique atmosphere. The background music added to the ambience .Oh yes...the portions were generous so Pap obliged by bagging up the leftovers to take home.Give this place a go as reasonable prices, clean and smart, great food..nothing else to say but enjoy !!

I have just returned from the Curry Cabin in Hope, having enjoyed an excellent meal. I have been in the catering supply business all my life specialising in meat and poultry so I wonder why Askagain 2018 wrote the previous review. The chicken we were served was tender, full of flavour and had certainly never been frozen. Freezing poultry never makes it tough, if anything the ice crystals tend to tenderise the meat. The fact he stays at youth hostels makes me suspect he is still fairly young and is not very experienced in eating out, his spelling and grammar would also bear this out.

Maazi was nice, not the best but still nice. We had a nice meal, waiters & waitresses all lovely. I had a Madras and it was the hottest Madras I've ever had!!

We arrived at 7pm on a Sunday night and asked for a table for 2 adults, a 2 yr old and a baby. The waiter asked if we were willing to leave the pram by the bar. As our 4 month old son was sleeping in the pram I kindly asked if we could take the pram to the table. The waiter sighed and explained that the pram would take too much space in the resteraunt, which was completely empty by the way. The waiter offered us a table and said the pram, which, once again, had our baby in it, could go by the window a good few metres away. We obviously refused and went elsewhere. Considering the resteraunt had plenty of space and was completely empty, their attitude was terrible and, to be frank, odd, and I would not recommend the resteraunt.
