Dalkey (/ˈdɔːkiː/; Irish: Deilginis, meaning "thorn island") is one of the most affluent suburbs of Dublin, and a seaside resort southeast of the city, and the town of Dun Laoghaire, in Ireland. It was founded as a Viking settlement and became an active port during the Middle Ages. According to chronicler John Clyn (c.1286–c.1349), it was one of the ports through which the plague entered Ireland in the mid-14th century. In modern times, Dalkey has become a seaside suburb that attracts some tourist visitors. It has been home to writers and celebrities including Jane Emily Herbert, Maeve Binchy, Hugh Leonard, Bono, Van Morrison and Enya. I got told about their Sunday roast, I wasn't disappointed!! being greeted by a bubbly host, fabulous roast with both mash and roasties! I finished with a yummy homemade crumble, loved the white chocolate ice cream! Over all we had an amazing lunch and we were very well looked after, I even had book our next dinner before I left. I love this place

This very nice establishment is everything you expect of a cosy, classic Irish pub. Comfortable, warm, very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. I wish we had more pubs like this at home in Australia! A good selection of drinks; we didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food. We came back to The Graduate for a second visit with more family in tow. Had the fish goujons a couple of weeks ago and had to bring the family to try them! great service, decent food, the place was dirty. Visiting frim Seattle, staying nearby with a dear friend. We've been here 3 times this week, pleasant experience each time. Please clean the place, really, it is dirty so I have to wonder about the cleanliness of the kitchen...
