We had dinner at this restaurant with a large group. Luckely we had a reservation, The place was packed with tourists, which gave it a nice holiday ambiance. We ordered different kind of dishes (meat/ fish/ kids etc) The starters were served within 30 min and a 45 min later the main meal was served. They had a big variety of beers and everything was served with a BIG smile :-) So, all in all, a nice restaurant, with nice food (nothing fancy) and absolutely not too expensive.

Fantastic atmosphere during the "Mosselfeesten", absolute must-go when in Middelburg in the end of July. The "mosselwok" is definitely one of the best mussels I have ever come to eat. Not even mentioning the party afterwards in the evening, where I ended up in the cozy rooms, which are attached to the restaurant. Great brasserie with an edge in one of the buzzing streets of Middelburg!

We came here on a Sunday afternoon and were pleasantly surprised. First of all it is a very nice sand beach. The place itself has indoor and outdoor facilities with great view. Restrooms are available, a pin terminal so that you can pay with bank card, free WiFi basically everything modern wanderer needs.But the best of all is the staff. They were very friendly, we felt really welcome!The other best thing is the food. Given the location and the size of the place they offer quite a variety of food in a remarkably decent quality. Let's not forget this is basically a wooden shack with a terrace.The third best thing is the price. Absolutely fair! Given the location, directly on the beach, they could play the tourist trap game but don't, instead good value for money.To sum it up:Friendly staff Good foodFair prices Top beach locationSugar coated with free WiFi Wanderer if you come to Vlissingen giving kontiki beach a visit can be recommended, we will be back.

Since Nieuwvliet Bad is a very small place there is not much choice as far as food is concerned. There are only the so-called beach pavillions that serve overpriced frozen tv-meals and the frituur parlours (i.e. fish and chips and frikadel places) that are quite ok but one quickly tires of fried and greasy food no matter how good it is and how hungry you are. De Zeeuwse Kust is a proper restaurant with a proper service so if you want something more up-market and fresh, this is the place to go. The service is friendly.
