I attended a birthday meal here. We had booked so got given our own small private dining room. The restaurant is located outside of the city centre, and not really ideal if you are staying int he city and using public transport.Inside the restaurant was nice decor and clean.The private room had a large round table with a centre turntable on it, so you could rotate the food dishes to you.The buffet had a good selection of food, both starters and mains. There was also a section where the food was raw such as steaks, prawns, fish where you placed it onto a plate and took it to one of the chefs who would cook it up for you on a large grill hot plate. I took up a selection of meats and seafood and it was all cooked beautifully, and not over cooked at all.Over all the food was good. It was hot, and tasty, and best of all, it was all you can eat.

First visited this restaurant on Friday night we had a choice of 3 starters between me and my partner all were beautiful both had different main meals and couldn't fault either . One of places get free wi fi to . Beer at reasonable prices couldn't fault this place ..

The Restaurant is driven by a family from Sichuan, China. U getmostly original Sichuan food here. And it tastes really fantastic. The prices are Like other chinese Restaurants, very cheap for this quality. I am living in the centre and come here about once a month.

This gigantic restaurant is a buffet style all-you-can-eat-in-a-given-amount-of-time kind of place. There are four lines of food, including one of raw meats and vegetables that can be cooked in the style of Mongolian BBQ. There were quite a few types of meat including beef, pork, lamb, chicken, turkey, duck, kangaroo, and about twelve kinds of fresh fish. There was a large variety of fried things, sushi-like items, seaweed salad, etc.etc. The variety was really astounding.So why the average rating? The food, despite the prodigious quantities and excellent price per volume, was just OK. Certainly not bad, but neither was it a gastronomic treat.If you are looking for a lot of food for a fixed price, this is your place. Great value. Go to town!My preference is for something a bit more upscale, even if it costs more and you get fewer calories. But that's just me. For some people - and you know who you are - Shi Shan is perfect.
