We had dinner one evening on our stay in Moorea. It was OK, but I wish I hadnât wasted an opportunity at another restaurant, with such a short visit I felt like I could get this Chinese dinner down the street.

Yum food, large portions, friendly staff, reasonably priced.We were escorted from our hotel by their staff.The food arrived quickly and was top quality. My wife went the sweet and sour pork like a typical westerner, which was actual pork belly pieces instead of the usual mystery meat you might see at a lot of western Chinese places.Seems to be a place the locals like, which is a good sign, we were the only tourists there.The only thing that was below standard was the decor.Overall a delicious, filling meal. We were driven back to our hotel also by their staff.

This little place was closed on our first 3 trips to Moorea, our timing was always bad, but we finally saw the "open" side on the door on our 4th visit. We had a lovely lunch from a good-sized menu, and well-priced half-bottles of wine were the perfect size. Chez Jean-Pierre offers great French-influenced Chinese food along with a few Polynesian specialties, and the unobtrusive staff was very accommodating: when we asked for the recipe for Chinese Poisson Cru (outstanding!) they were happy to share. We went back a second time and had the same good dining experience, and hope to have repeat visits to this little gem when we return later this year.

C'est correct mais sans plus. Service agréable, quelques lacunes entre la carte et les disponibilités, et incohérences dans les prix. Les mets ne sont pas super, cela ne vaut pas le coup. Passez votre chemin.
