This traditional Maltese house was build in the turn of the 19th century. Constructed in Maltese limestone and holds number of stone Maltese handcraft such as traditional apertures, iron works and wood work. In 1919 a niche of Our Lady of Sorrow was build
We stopped by this bar after seeing it on a previous visit to Malta but not having the opportunity to stop at the time. We were greeted by friendly staff, and a barman who spent much of his evening encouraging my husband in his endeavour to learn Malti - an ongoing saga. We tried plenty of excellent wines, both local and from afar, and had a delicious mezze platter of local sausages and cheeses. A terrific night and will be back for certain..

We found it looking for some place to have dinner and what incredible surprise! The food was excellent and the services too. The cooker( and we supoused was the owner too) showed us picturrs about the fresh fish which he had buy that morning in the market. We chosed rabbit, typal from Malta, and one of the fresh fish, tuna cooked( he had carpaccio of it too). It was really delicious! We drink a bottle of wine and we paid 46⬠for all. The relation between quality and price are good. We are from Spain, but if we come back to Malta, we will repeat sure! Thank you so much

Il primo ristorante a Malta con uno spazio coperto adibito a Giardino, nel quale poter mangiare oppure sorseggiare un drink in compagnia, godendoti i nostri stuzzichini fatti in casa oppure i taglieri misti, rilassandoti su un soffice manto verde di erba
I was surprised reading previous reviews which gave good ratings for this venue. We came across the restaurant while walking up the street, on checking the menu it appeared reasonable, the premises looked really clean and our initial welcome was good. Apart from ourselves there was only one family group and three other couples. It took a while for the shared starter to arrive but we thought nothing of that initially. Then we had a long wait for the main to arrive, whilst listening to the kid with the family crying constantly. It was close to an hour before the two pasta dishes arrived (hardly the slowest thing in the world to prepare) A couple sitting opposite were getting very frustrated at their length of wait and when they were about to leave the food suddenly appeared. I canât judge for them but they left after only a few mouthfuls of their pizza. When our food finally arrived it was mediocre at best and there was no apology or reason for the wait. I donât like leaving negative reviews but this was as close as Iâve ever been to demanding a refund.
