Suwon (Hangul: 수원, Hanja: 水原, Korean pronunciation: [su.wʌn]) is the capital and largest metropolis of Gyeonggi-do, South Korea's most populous province which surrounds Seoul, the national capital. Suwon lies about 30 kilometres (19 miles) south of Seoul. It is traditionally known as "The City of Filial Piety". With a population close to 1.2 million, it is larger than Ulsan, although it is not governed as a metropolitan city.

We are returning customers of Mekong Thai, as we are so happy that there is finally a Thai place in our neighbourhood. They only opened a few months ago, but we have already visited them 5+ times, so had a chance to form an opinion. Food is good, but the choice of Thai food is somewhat limited. 5 or so of fried rices, 5 or so of fried noodles, Tom yum kung, 1 Thai curry, that's about it. Also some ingredients like lime seem to be missing. However, what is good is that they can adjust the dishes to your taste (like remove meat or make it medium-spicy). Prices are decent, especially considering the big size of the portions! For example, Tom yum (14 000 KRW) is good for 2, the same goes for Vietnamese soups (did not try those, just saw at the other tables). Tea in a teapot comes free with any order. The staff is super friendly, attentive and polite, and smiling all the time. Once our baby was fussy, and they offered to entertain her hile we dined, and they actually carried her around the place for like 30 minutes. Parking is free for 2 hours. Location is convenient, it is a block behind Yeongtong Homeplus.

Went there for dinner. I ate nasi goreng and pathai. Colleague ate sate.All tested great. Bowl of nasi is good for one person when hungry. Pathai could be a little bit more to satisfy the hunger.Overall the place looked nice and clean. Staff was kind.

This restaurant was original Thai taste and cooked by Thai. There were many menu of Thai food even center of Thai and Eastern Thai style. I have been many places of Thai restaurants in South Korea but here is the best tasting. In advance, you shouldn't go at 12.00-13.00 because of it will be full of customers. U should go there early or after 2 oâclock.
