There is one located close to MyeongDong and it was great! The buffet options are great! A mix of western, asian and Korean dishes and grilled meats. I loved it.

The place is very nicely set up with private dining rooms where people can actually sit with their legs under the table. There is a wide choice of different kinds of meat or fish that are cooked on the grill, usually by the people in the dining party but one can get help from the waitress. The accompanying dishes (banchan) are remarkable in variety and taste. The meal starts with a delicious mul-kimchi and ends with a rice soup or a cold noodle soup, a vegetable/tofu soup, and a dessert drink. What esle can one wish for?

Took the advice from the reviewers here and elsewhere and treated myself to a Galbitang for lunch. Soup was de-li-cious. It's a pity that I won't have the opportunity to eat here again (soon). Agree with others about the timing (I arrived around 2 PM and was their last customer before they closed, or so it seemed) and the staff (not much interaction/friendliness), but the main point is that the food was perfect.

Suwon Mandu

When you're in Suwon don't miss this place. Suwon is famous for Galbi and Gabojeong is my favorite but if you think Galbi is too heavy for lunch then this is the place. It's very close to Haenggung and Suwon museum. So after seeing those two have lunch at Suwon Mandu. This is Chinese restaurant and from my experience they have one of the best mandu (dumpling) not only in town but in Korea. Take the fried one. Steamed us also good but fried is far better. I am a regular at the restaurant and I love going back every time. Their Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork) is superb and I love Swegogitangmyeon. After the lunch take a walk along the fortress. You can find volunteering guides at the information center which is off street on the west side of Paldalmun. I think they also have English speaking guides too. After walking around for quite some time you can have Galbi dinner. If you are on tight budget visit Jidong market where you can get Bindaedduk, jokbal etc. there is also famous chicken street near Paldalmun. There are several fried chicken restaurants. They sell fried whole chicken. The chickens are dip fried without batter and taste great. I think my review strayed off a bit. Suwon mandu is a great restaurant and in a very convenient location. The price is not too high but on the higher side if compared to other Chinese restaurants. Still it's worth it. Dumpling cost 5500KRWBeef soup noodle 5000KRWif you come with friends order small (15000KRw) or large (20000KRW) Tangsuyuk with above dishes.

The city of Su-Won is known for their galbi! This restaurant had modern design with a little touch of old world. The place was packed, that alone speaks volume. We ordered galbi and totally enjoyed every bite and finshed it off with cold noodles! You just have to try, but the price is not wallet friendly. Only thing that bothered me about this place was the restroom. The floor was flooded, not sure why or what it was, but that made us feel grossed out.

My difficulty with Korean food is that I need to have someone explain to me what I am eating. Lunch at the Kabojung was quite an experience with small barbecue grills set into the tables for cooking beef ribs and an abundance of other small accompanying dishes. Somenone explained to me that eating in Korea is very much a collective activity so you do not order individual dishes. Everyone shares. The service was excellent and the food interesting.
