We visit this place after reading all the reviews here, we were expecting an awesome service with an incredible food, what we got was the opposite, food was cold, tasteless, we wanted to like this place but I can't stand being ripped off. Not coming back.

The courtyard setting is very relaxing. Unfortunately our meals were just ok. Those who ordered the shrimp dish were the most pleased. The other meals fell short. The menu describes fresh and interesting ingredients , expertly prepared. Most in our group felt that much of what we had was overlooked and just ok ingredients. So overall we felt that La Panga doesnât measure up with the many excellent restaurants in San Jose.

The views and the service here are impeccable. It was a lovely evening and lovely dinner, but it was pretty slow. The meal took about 3 hours (and with 2 kid that is a loooong dinner), but it was excellent and I would recommend it. I think they are still working out the kinks with getting food out in a timely manner. Dessert took a very long time to come out once we ordered it.
