Finding good tapas in the UK is not always easy, especially outside livelier areas of London. I'm really pleased that, after many years without, Lyme again has its own tapas offer - and a very good one it is too! I went to the Strawberry Tree at the Galley spontaneously last Friday, in the hope that they could squeeze me in. Despite several large groups, who had obviously had the foresight to reserve, I was found a comfortable spot to graze.Ed was the perfect host, making me feel like a guest at his home rather than a random walk-in. He talked me through the menu, which is diverse and interesting.I settled on pork belly, pistou (a kind of ratatouille), chorizo and a tomato salad.Everything was truly delicious. While I had gone heavy on the pork, the freshness of the tomatoes complimented this perfectly with the rioja helping too. And I can honestly say I've never had such amazing chorizo! Would I change anything? As a non-wheat eater, a portion of patatas bravas or equivalent would have been amazing but I was more than satisfied in any case. Will I be back? Absolutely, with friends and with a reservation as I wouldn't want to miss out.It was lovely to meet you and we're glad you enjoyed your evening with us. And thanks for the suggestion - we are just about to get ourselves a fryer so bravas could well be on the menu soon!! But of course, you´ll have to come back and try them... ;)

Being 'locals' we eat here quite often and had another excellent meal tonight. The food was delicious. Service from the waiter/waitresses was friendly and food arrived promptly. A buzzy atmosphere with couples and families alike some of whom were dining al fresco. By the time we left just after 7.30, the place was heaving. Best to book during the holiday season.

A small restaurant in the heart of Seaton. We serve a wide range of Tapas and make changes to the menu each month so you can assured of variety! Our desserts always include a small selection plate where you can try a selection of 5 small dessert samples!

All the dishes were beautifully prepared, interesting and tasty. Plenty of international variety across the menu from which we particularly enjoyed the Lebanese Kibbeh. Service was so sweet and the ambience cosy and friendly. Will definitely be returning. Just what Seaton needs.
