My wife and I are retired Canadian professionals living in Frankfurt for 18 months. Today, between Christmas and New Years Eve, it was overcast and foggy and wet, and we decided to explore the narrow cobblestone streets of the incredibly beautiful little towns of Kronberg and Konigstein, with their timeless estate/residences. We had made reservations at Miro's (highly recommended) because we assumed, rightly, that the local residents would be a good gastronomical influence! Miros is located on a hillside overlooking the valley below. The exterior is unassuming; the interior is very nicely decorated, warm and welcoming, with linen tablecloths. The owner himself seated us at a table with a view.If readers look at the comments on the attached photos, they will see why we were so delighted with the meal. The flavours and presentation were excellent. The ambience is such that families will enjoy dining, as well as couples looking for a memorable experience. (Why dine at other fine restaurants where the stuffy, stiff formality creates gastric ulcers?)The cost of the meals is entirely reasonable for the high quality and absolute professionalism. We will be back again to explore the menu. This is one of those cases where I wish Tripadvisor would allow 6th star. The food is exquisite - although pitched as Austrian I would describe more as fusion i.e. Goats cheese creme brûlée, pork belly "nobu style" etc. Wine list has a super selection and good advice from the staff. You are well advised to book in advance.

We took our Giessen, Germany hosts to this restaurant that we had read good reviews about as our thank you to them. They had not been there as yet. It was a fabulous dinner, exquisite flavors and tastes, beautifully served. Each of us were delighted with our meals. The service was impeccable but not intrusive, albeit a little on the slow side (which has been true more often than not in our whole European experience this time). It was expensive but appropriate for our purposes.
