Boutiques, upscale chain stores and street vendors, as wells as casinos and a wide range of restaurants, dance clubs and bars, make Oranjestad a popular destination in Aruba. In addition to shopping, dining and entertainment, the island's capital city offers museums, a butterfly farm, art galleries, golf, historical sites and a marina. The island's colonization by the Netherlands shows in Oranjestad's Dutch colonial architecture, while the buildings' bright colors are distinctly Caribbean.

Our wine tasting was curated by Jose and it was a highlight of our trip. Jose was a wealth of knowledge, a gracious host and very thoughtful. He asked us questions to determine our ideal experience. We truly appreciated him taking the time to inform a couple of novices like us - he never talked down to us - and shared his interest and passion for wine. Thank you! We highly recommend this experience!

We were here on Carnival day and it was busy, the guy serving outside only seemed interested in selling us a bucket of beers which we didn't want. He directed us to the bar inside where we ordered draft beers but the person serving didn't seem to understand us - we are English! Once we had our drinks we moved to a table outside in the shade but felt this is where we could have been from the beginning.
