Relaxing Tuscany retreat

We stayed at this resort for two days. The hotel ground is perfectly maintained and has a lot of beautiful trails to walk around. There are two pools on hotel ground. The infinity pool has an amazing view of the vineyard and the smaller pool is really quiet. The restaurant offers high quality food with local products. The service is impeccable. We hope to come back here soon.

Nice room close to the main attractions

Unfortunately the breakfast buffet was not available while we stayed, so we got room-service breakfast instead, which was reasonable, but sitting on the bed's edge with a tray on the small table was not entirely an optimal relaxing start of the day. A big plus point of this place is its proximity to the main attractions of the city; just a short walk. The best is actually the staff. They are friendly and helpful.

Pieve Marsina

On the highest point of a hill set among the mosaic of the vineyards, typical of the Chianti Classico area, in the heart of a medieval village, you'll find the Pieve Marsina. The house, composed of delightful apartments, has as it's main objective the idea of offering guests the opportunity to enjoy the calm, the beauty and all the pleasures our region has to offer. For this reason our apartments have been renovated with respect for tradition: you'll find antique terracotta floor tiles, walls of warm colours, discovered during renovation work, large stone and brick fireplaces and magnificent porticos with a magical atmopshere. Under one of these fully renovated porticos we have installed a relaxing Jacuzzi for 3-5 people. Essential oils for aromatic sensations, relaxing music, fragrances and flavours that liberate the mind. Three comfortable dechchairs for relaxing before and after bathing. Perfect on summer evenings and cold winter days.

Quaint, charming B&B in the Gorgeous Chianti Hills

Reviewed By na1asha

Quaint, charming B&B in the Chianti Hills Pieve Marsina is a quaint, quiet, and charming hotel located in the hills of Chianti. We stayed for 2 nights here on our trip to Chianti. - The property is beautiful and the grounds are immaculate. The views of the vine filled hills are stunning. We took a morning stroll around the property, and it was lovely. - Gabrielle is a helpful host and is there for you to answer questions when you need him. - Breakfast was part of our room package. The cappuccinos at breakfast were some of the best we had in Italy! - Pieve Marsina has an honor system where you can purchase coffee, tea, wine, water, and other snacks during your stay. - We used the hot tub when we found out it was open. The water in the spa was rather cold and we were later charged for the usage of the spa which we were not aware was a separate charge. - Our room had a beautiful, vintage style tub, but it was a little difficult to operate to shower with, practically speaking. I would request a room with a shower if this is important to you. - We came in the shoulder season and the room was quite cold. We couldn’t figure out how to get the radiator to heat up the room. The wifi does not reliably reach the room we stayed in. Depending on your preference - this could be a plus or a minus! A chance to truly disconnect. Overall, this hotel is beautiful & has a historic, untouched feel to it. The views are amazing and we enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful View of San Gimignano

This is a lovely hotel with a great view of San Gimignano. I stayed there one night while walking the via Francigena. The staff was enthusiastic, the breakfast good and the hotel was comfortable. My only complaint was that it was not close enough to the town. If you are driving or biking this is an excellent choice. For hikers, it has some drawbacks.

Absolutely amazing in every way!

We had our wedding at the Villa and stayed at La Corte Villa in May 2022 and we cannot stop raving about it, along with our guests! Absolutely everything about the experience blew us away. We started planning the wedding in 2019 and then postponed due to covid and everyone working with us were so so helpful and accommodating, we knew that sticking with the villa for a destination wedding would be worth it! We worked with Roberta, who works with the villa, as our wedding planner and to say she is an angel is an understatement! She made everything so easy for us, we had no stress planning and she was always willing to accommodate any request we had, even super last minute changes, she handled with ease. I truly cannot believe what an incredible experience they were able to deliver from start to finish. Everyone always said to me how difficult and stressful it must be to plan a wedding in another country and it was truly so easy, no stress at all, thanks to them. Due to covid, we were never able to make it from the US during the planning to actually see the villa or anything beforehand. We knew it was gorgeous from pictures and videos, but when we finally arrived, seeing it in person, I couldn't even believe it. It is really like stepping into a fairytale being at the villa and as stunning as the pictures are - it is even more beautiful in person. Everywhere you look, it is breathtakingly gorgeous and the flowers around the villa were in full bloom and made the entire place smell so good! We considered a lot of venues and we are so so thankful we went with this one and so thankful we had Roberta and her team to help us plan our event! The wedding venue was so wonderful but our stay at the villa was incredible too. Everyone that works with the villa went out of their way to make the stay perfect, comfortable, and made sure we had the best time. The hospitality is unmatched! Apart from the gorgeous grounds, it is in an excellent location. You are close enough to Florence to make it super easy to go between there and the villa (about a 20 min drive/taxi) but you get the benefit of being in the countryside and all the beauty/relaxation that comes with that. If you are considering staying here, having an event here, etc. BOOK IT! You will not regret it! We are already planning our next stay and know we will be making it a spot we will come back to over and over again.

Incredible!

I had the best stay at Villa Cassia. The setting is idyllic; beautiful gardens, pool, and clean rooms make you feel right at home. Giancarlo and Sofie’s hospitality is amazing; they are so kind, and as a solo traveler made me feel comfortable and went out of their way to make sure I enjoyed my stay / could get around town etc.. The food is also incredible with a great breakfast with many assorted items to choose from and delicious lunch / dinner as well. I will stay here again and again!

Typical, warm and comfy place

Reviewed By Alberto_Seghezzi

I had the chance to stay for just 1 quick night stay at this place. Being late didn't let me meet the owner till breakfast time but with some text messages i have been hold clearly the instructions for self check in. Rooms are very big, more apartments than rooms actually, with comfy bed and warm bathroom for morning shower. I would suggest only to introduce maybe a couple of more plugs bedside, so people like me that need many to charge everything will not have any trouble. Amazing breakfast even if we were just 3 people at the b&b. The owner if a pleasant person to have a talk with, very kind and open to provide info of the surrounding area helping in the daily visit. will definitely come back to this small piece of tuscany paradise.

Best in Tuscany

Reviewed By AndreiVStancu

Imagine you are in a Tuscan paradise. Perfectly located on a hilltop, very clean and comfortable room and beautiful views of the Tuscan hills. I opted for breakfast and dinner and I want to mention that it was the best food I had the opportunity to enjoy throughout Italy. Everything was at a maximum level, the attitude towards us, the service, the wine, the little attentions and especially the food.
