Reviewed By kirsteeh2016We were due to stay here in April however we are unable to travel due to the Coronavirus crisis. We contacted the host to advise and they were great; refunding the monies I’d paid almost immediately. This is fantastic service given that other places have not been so forthcoming. I look forward to staying here in the future

Reviewed By Iain Neal JAfter looking through dozens of places to stay on Koh Jum we settled for a one bedroom beach villa at the Koh Jum Beach Villa resort. We asked for a private transfer as it was our first time there. Very well organized. We arrived at the resort to be welcomed by the operations manager David. After checking in we were shown to the Villa. We were speechless. The Villa had everything we wanted and more. A nice plunge pool with jacuzzi with clear views of the ocean and a ten second walk to the beach. Everything in the Villa and around it was spotless. An amazing bed with a very comfortable mattress. The bar and restaurant are both super relaxing. Cocktails in the bar are fantastic. Then there is the food!!! I can honestly say that I’ve never had such high quality food served so consistently. Specials everyday also. It is fine dining quality food but with big portions. We ventured out now and again but felt the resort catered for everything we needed so spent most of our time there. Finally the staff. All the staff were extremely polite and attentive. Of all the staff we spoke to all had a good grasp of the English language. David the operations manager was extremely helpful throughout our stay. A must visit resort and worth every penny. Thank you ?

Amazing Stay
Reviewed By 597tjwStayed for 8 nights with my Mum, Dad and girlfriend. Staff were very friendly, location is great (5 minute walk from Kaw Kwang Beach) and incredible sea and sunset views. You can also easily hire a scooter to get around or they have on site tuk-tuks and taxis. Highly recommend, will definitely be staying again.

After my first night I was able to move to the front bungalow overlooking the beach which was like a honeymoon suite. American breakfast provided with fruit platter but because of the situation the kitchen was closed after 10am. I had to walk around half a km north or south to the nearest restaurant for dinner. My room was spacious and very clean. Adequate lighting options, quiet aircon, ceiling fan, sofa and table. The TV had many channels but only one in English (NKK Japan). The bed linen was clean and the bed comfortable enough. Many pillows for those so inclined. The wardrobe had hanging space and a shelf to place clothes. Decent size clean bathroom with separate area for showering. Water pressure just ok but the water heater worked well. The balcony is a highlight. Table and two rocking chairs and also two sunloungers. The only bungalow with personal sunloungers. The beachfront area is kept clean by the resort staff. Swimming no problem. The Thai Govt's position on Covid continues to have a serious economic effect on island tourism. Staff worker Boon is the man with the answers during this pandemic time. I will have to return when everything is back to normal to do some boat tours. Tip: DO NOT forget your mozzie spray.

Reviewed By LauravipondWe chose this destination based on its positive reviews, but we were forced to find alternative accommodation as it did not match the description and the staff were unhelpful and uncommunicative. The property was unclean when we arrived (the toilet was disgusting, the shower barely worked as it needed descaling and we found a previous guest’s earplug and sunglasses by the side of the bed - see photos), and despite being cleaned whilst we were there, there were still ants everywhere - all over the kitchen, crockery and baby’s bottles and toys. The air conditioning in the mezzanine wasn’t able to keep the room cool, so it reached 35° in the daytime and meant we were unable to leave the baby in there to nap. This left us having to drive him around the car with the AC on every day for his naps. Despite confirming multiple times in advance, the property didn’t have a cot when we arrived so we had no where to put the baby. Someone went out and bought one for us, but said the Thai cots are ‘unsafe’ and indeed our son did get his arms stuck through the bars of this metal swing cot, so we had to improvise and wrap it in blankets we bought. They didn’t provide any bedding for the cot. We also chose this property as it had a TV (for the evenings when the baby was asleep) - but the weak wifi didn’t reach it and it didn’t work. So we ended up having to reconfigure the room and move the furniture around so it could pick up the signal elsewhere. Ultimately, the staff were incredibly slow to respond to our requests for help, and after 8 days here and no solution to the AC and uncleanliness, we had no choice but to cut our stay here short and find last minute alternative accommodation - leaving us substantially out of pocket. Some of these issues would have been excusable if they reflected a budget price, but for what we paid we expected much, much better. I do not recommend staying here.

Relax and enjoy the best Thailand has to offer in a family-friendly atmosphere in one of our 13 villas. Each villa is modern, clean, and cozy with Our villa, equipped kitchenette, living area, and verandas. All villas have air conditioning, hot water, wifi internet, and television . We are located at quiet and beautiful Ba Kantiang Bay, only a five minute walk to the beach, and close to the national park. Many amenities are right in the neighborhood, including convenience store, baker, good restaurants, and dive shop. Click on the "Koh Lanta" link for more photos of the villas and Koh Lanta area.

Reviewed By RoyRobVery comfortable apartment, attentive and friendly staff, quiet location just inland from Kantiang Bay, superb views, particularly at sunset. This is the quieter end of Koh Lanta. A little further south is a national park.

Reviewed By scljonesIf you are heading to Krabi, I would urge you to stay at Chanapha! The other reviews are completely accurate, this is a special place, and delivers service far above it's price range. Some highlights: The food is truly delicious, it has all the flavour of homemade, but is presented like restaurant food, and is good value. We are both vegetarians, and Khun Deng made a real effort to adapt the food for us. The property is so peaceful, far away from the craziness of Ao Nang, but close enough to everything so you're not isolated. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are immaculate and have all you could need. Khun Deng and George are such wonderful hosts- friendly, thoughtful, great company! Due to Covid cancellations, we actually had the resort all to ourselves, but this made us feel like we were being welcomed into their home, and we were looked after so well. They helped us with laundry, helped us find a very reasonable taxi back to Phuket (the driver was excellent), gave us great tips on places to visit in the area and George even gave us a lift to Ao Nang pier when we needed to go. The only tiny point to note was our driver had a tough time finding the place on Google maps, if you travel from Ao Nang it's well signposted, but just be aware that you may need your driver to ask locals for directions (if you get stuck, just say 'Ding Daeng Doi' or 'international school'- these are landmarks nearby). If we were ever back in the area we would certainly stay again, I can't recommend it enough.

Reviewed By raymondo7000We are in our ‘youthful” 70’s and had planned to stay for three weeks, but this gem of a quiet, clean and beautiful place , kept us there for all of our 5 weeks holiday, The owners , Paul and Bo are the best hosts ever, helping out with maps, beach mats, umbrellas, printed out tours, restaurant recommendations , car hire , airport transfers, breakfasts, you name it they would help, spotlessly clean, ideal location, (although you will need transport) being equal distance between krabi town and the beach resorts, fantastic holiday

Best place to stay in Old Town Koh Lanta

We stayed in the room longer than we planned just because of the serene view. This place is walkable to old town market. If you want to stay away from long beach this is your best bet. We reached before checkin time and they served us fresh pineapples and provided a room to freshen up till our room was ready. The road from this place to long beach was under construction and that was the only pain during our entire trip. (not their fault obviously) Special thanks to Pear for assisting us with all our needs with a smile on her face.

Reviewed By RtaylerE1The place is great and our host was super flexible and responsive. He also helped arrange tours and transportation. The building is perfect for our large family. The private pool was fantastic and well maintained. Housekeeping came every day and did an excellent job.
