Trattoria Pandemonio di Casa Brogi

We had eaten at various Trattoria During our stay in the ‘south of the river’ santo Spirito district of Florence and this was our least favourite place....unfortunately it was our last night in Florence. My husband thought his chicken dish was ok. I ordered the sliced steak with pecorino cheese and flageolet beans as a side. The beef was expensive and took some cutting and was rather chewy. It was not well seasoned. The beans lacked flavour and were cold. I had steak cooked to perfection, full of flavour, perfectly seasoned and butter soft at a nearby Trattoria just around the corner at a fraction of the price. Disappointing to say the least and can not recommend I’m afraid. The family on the table next to us ordered the florentine steak Bistecca and were sawing at the meat. As it was out last night we didn’t wish to complain, we paid and left.

Excellent choice. The restaurant is a tiny little one in the charming area of San Frediano - the right one if you want to escape tourists and find something genuine. The menu gets you away from the traditional Fiorentina-steak to take you through to a journey of different tastes - i had a wonderful chicken tempura.Service is just perfect. People very friendly and professionalJust a note, and it's not necessarily a criticism since the city lives on its tourism, the price is not exactly a budget one. If back to Florence this is one address we will use again.Dear Customers,Thank you so very much for your visit and especially for your review! We could not find better words to explain B.O.r.G.O.We look forward to your next visit and hope you will find us just as you left us. Fondly Gabriele Orsolini

Informal restaurant, ideal for a good meal near the centre of Florence for a respectable price, the menu has lots of different dishes, from pasta dishes, meat dishes -including the Fiorentina steak-, fish dishes and home-made desserts.

Have been before but the waiting staff need training, the food has been excellent on many occasions... again the chef has a passion that he needs to pass onto the waiting staff. Somewhat rude (even if not purposefully). You Can’t always Enjoy a meal If the service is lacking. Food and service need to complement each other....Hello miss,I'm sorry your experience hasn't been good last time, we apologize for any kind of bad behavior the staff may have had.But I feel like 1 star is a little too harsh considering that the food had been excellent, on multiple occasions also, but then again, we'd like you to come once more to see if there's been any improvements since last time, and enjoy a good meal per-say.Sincerely, the Owner.

We enjoyed a 3 course meal in this lovely restaurant just 5 min walk from our hotel. The staff were friendly, attentive and knowledgeable when it came to suggesting dishes (and pointing out when “tuna” dishes may actually refer to pork!). Complimentary Prosecco was served and good wine. Although expensive (we paid exactly €100 for both of us), which may be a fair price in Florence but seemed a little pricey when compared to similar restaurants in the centre. Recommended!

Perfect Italian dining experience. We sat outside, under a massive olive tree for shade, on colourful wooden chairs. The menu was in Italian only and pizzas are only available at dinner time. The burratini with arugula and truffles was creamy and so fresh. The pastas were all perfectly cooked, aromatic and extremely satisfying. Staff were friendly and chatty.

Scandicci is a working persons town and only a short ride of touristy Florence. You get the same, or better, quality meat as in Florence without the touristy price. In fact, we were the only non-locals in the restaurant. Although it does not have any frills, the ambiance is inviting and the waitstaff is attentive. In fact, our waiter was very fluent in English having spent several months in the States. While I thoroughly enjoyed the Florentine steak, another member of our group had the burger which she said was excellent. La Braceria is worth the ride.

We went again yesterday and found the usual relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. I always enjoy this place where you can have a complete menu with a surprisingly big variety of starters and saucy Tuscan steak for an amazing deal! I love the familiar way they make business where you chat with the owner about tasty food and great wines and you never leave without a sense of great satisfaction.I strongly recommend it!!
