Zhuhai (/ˈdʒuːˈhaɪ/, Chinese: 珠海; pinyin: Zhūhǎi; Yale: Jyūhói; literally: "Pearl Sea") is a prefecture-level city on the southern coast of Guangdong province in China. Located in the Pearl River Delta, Zhuhai borders Jiangmen to the northwest, Zhongshan to the north, and Macau to the south. Zhuhai was one of the original Special Economic Zones established in the 1980s. Zhuhai is also one of China's premier tourist destinations, being called the Chinese Riviera. While the city is located in the traditionally Cantonese-speaking region of Guangdong Province, a significant portion of population is now made up of Mandarin speaking economic migrants originally from inland provinces.

The Chimelong Safari, operated by the same company Chimelong, enjoys a great reputation. So we had high expectations when we planned a visit to the Chimelong Ocean Kingdom.
We traveled from the Macau side and the hotel transfer was underwhelming, with no clear directions and the shuttle bus from the immigration runs on an infrequent hourly basis.
We chose the Penguin Hotel. The rooms are big enough but the deco was quite tacky. The staff were professional enough, but the service was rather cold.
The theme park itself was very well run and quite enjoyable. The collection of marine animals was impressive. Although I have visited many Oceanariums all over the world - like in U.S., Japan and Hong Kong, Chimelong really aced them in terms of sheer numbers - whale sharks, belugas, dolphins, penguins, polar bear, walruses, sea lions, you name it. The Performances are also tightly packed so there was no shortage of entertainment. The rides are also plentiful and quite exciting.
Our biggest shock and disappointment was the extremely low quality of the catering standards. At a themepark or a resort hotel, no one expects fine dining or gourmet experience. Very often, hearty buffets and wholesome food will pass. But the food served at the Chimelong, particularly the Penguin Hotel, was simply atrocious. Noodles, barbeques, dim sums, sweet and sour pork, nothing was done right! For someone who grew up in Southern China, I couldn't accept a big tourism and hotel group cannot even find a decent group of chefs to serve in one of its most important resorts.
This was a big let down. The breakfast was so bad we decided to skip our 2nd visit to the theme park in the morning and crossed the border back to Macau.
I think the poor catering standards do not do justice to the quality of the theme park, nor to Chimelong' s reputation.
Until the food improves, I would recommend anyone interested in ocean life should visit the park early in the morning and avoid staying at the hotel. Pack your own food if you can!
If Chimelong wants this resort to supplement the product offering in Macau and build its reputation as China's leading tourism group, it really should get its act together.

Nice place for a walk or a bike ride with good views of the ocean. Not very crowded except by the fisher girl statue, just go when it is not too humid.

The Chinese love their seafood. This area is filled with various establishments on two streets that offer seafood and drinks. That, of course, leads to a great time. We, like everyone else, ate outside. Though there was a protective canopy to keep us dry if it rained.
We ate a great selection of food. Our client couldn't stop selecting seafood to eat. He smunched them all down. It was like he had never seen sea food before. The food was done Guangdong style; which means a little steamed and very fresh.
It is easy to get to. You just simply show the address to the taxi driver and he will take you directly to the place. It is easy to leave from. Taxi's were everywhere. It's on a major road don't ya know.
It is mostly open during the night as it is a night time venue. I have no idea what it would be like during the daytime, but my guess is (from prior Chinese experience) that it would be closed.
The only problem is that you can sometimes get a piece of bad seafood. That will bring you close to Hell, if you know what I mean. Unfortunately for that particular trip, I had a bad oyster. It ruined my night. However, that is not a condemnation of this location, but rather the risks that you take when you eat seafood.
It's a decent enough place and worth the visit.

The island is great for relaxing walks, although with the December 2016 opening of the opera house to Performances, the majority of the island visitors will be attracted primarily by the hi-tech and very beautiful new steel and glass opera house structures.
The Zhuhai Opera House is built on an island. Performances began in December 2016. It is made of two shell-shaped buildings comprised of steel structures. Total steel composition approximates 10,000 tons. It is housed on 50,000 square metres of reclaimed land on Yeli island, and across from Zhuhai’s main waterfront. The opera house is now the city’s major cultural infrastructure.
The main concert hall has Seating for 1,600, and its shell is 95 metres in height. Its stage and auditorium design and construction considered architectural acoustics, so that an amplification system would not be required. The smaller 500-seat building has a shell height of 60 metres.
The exterior walls are comprised of glass panels which reflect sunlight during the day, and can be lit in many colourful patterns at night.

If you like Hot Springs (man-made rather than natural occurring) then this lovely resort by the ocean called the Zhuhai Ocean Spring has 69 hot spring pools over an area of 40,000 square metres. There is probably no other spa made quite like this in terms of sheer size and proportions so truly seeing is believing. There are a few hotels within the area that offer entrance packages etc so you might consider an overnight stay so that after a day of hot spring dipping you can collapse happily back into the convenience of a nearby hotel room.
The resort has two regions, indoor and outdoor. It is largely modelled after a Moroccon hot spring although each area has its own theme from Asian to European. The spring waters come from the depths of the ocean and contain mineral contents and trace elements that are reputedly good for health. From different flavoured hot Springs that are fragranced with herbs and various perfumes and aromatics that have health benefits, expect also pools with salt water, chrysanthemum, mint, tangerine peel, ginseng and other herbs to pools with green tea and even milk, coffee and red wine that you can soak into. It is located almost in middle of the Zhuhai city, from seaside can reach the beach and fishing girl statue and from the city side is near shopping centers and carrefour shopping mall and Zhuhai Museum.
this park is well created for relaxing and recreation specially for the families and kids. there are some amusement games for kids but looking old. there are playground and vast grass field for kids to play.
It's almost clean except for public holidays which is crowded and even they try to clean it continuously but people leave their trashes in many places.
you can taste the city, beach, mountain, lake, playground, amusement park, cycling, walking and many activities in this park.
