The name in Dutch means "Iron Fountain".The town started out when the farm 'Yzerfontein' was bought by the Katz-family in the 1930s. Then they started dividing the farm into plots. Salt

I spent at least 45 minutes in this tiny shop looking at all the wonderful natural treasures. A definite cut above the normal store selling objects and crafts. The owners manufacture certain of the items locally and also deal directly with female empowerment groups to manufacture. I can spend a fortune in this shop and going again and again to purchase some of the most exquisite felted throws and bags I've ever come across. If you're in the Cape Town area this shop deserves a drive out to explore

West Coast Farm Stall

Reviewed By NicoleInAfrica - Durban, South Africa

Great farm stall, conveniently located, good outdoor seating options, quick service and food good, portions generous and the best chips of our holiday so far. Pleasant place to sit, with lots of options for food and drink, things to buy and bakery. We had venison pie with gravy and chips, chicken burger and avo on toast. All excellent. Left laden with bread, rolls, koeksuster, cheese and local butter and beer. Good value all round, recommend.
