Inside the large spaces cellar we were dedicated to reception and Filippo or Luisa will receive you and guide telling you about their family history and the history of their wines. For visits please contact us by email and book your tasting. Otherwise you could find them in barrique cellar or between the vines!

We've been to winery tours / wine tastings in California, France, Spain, Italy, South Africa, etc., many of which have been outstanding. But Cantina Peppucci provides an experience that is orders of magnitude more rewarding, as attested to by all the other reviewers.
Felippo Peppucci and his mother, who together run the winery, also serve as welcoming, passionate, and knowledgeable hosts for a rich learning & tasting experience that left us blissful and inspired. The story behind their winemaking operation is fascinating, and their wines are more than worthy of all the praise bestowed by Wine Spectator, etc..
Sitting down for a long, relaxed wine tasting that included their outstanding domaine produced olive oil, plus local bread, cheese, sausage, chocolate made us truly appreciate the deep expertise and artistry that this family brings to their operation. We can't wait to do it again...soon!

The sanctuary of the Merciful is situated about 10 kilometers from Todi. There is a big affluence. The pool is open on Monday from 10.00 AM, Thursday and Saturday from 03.30 PM. Thursday the pool is closed in the winter season from November to February. After the mass the pilgrims are invited to take a bath. Miraculous healing is reported. The shrine is linked to Mother Speranza Alma de Jesus. Pope Francis presented in the Vatican a decree to investigate the miracles.

It's difficult, given the paucity of reviews on TripAdvisor, to imagine how so many have missed this altogether impressive Todi's Tempo di Santa Maria della Consolation, immediately outside the official town itself. Perhaps it has something to do with Umbria yet so emphatically on the rise. It's natives reminded me of the region's overall poverty (hard to imagine) only fifty years ago. Umbria is, in our mind, the next big show as its wines emerge worldwide in recognition more powerfully as well.
If this structure, compelling both in and out, were located in Rome, Florence, Venice, Turin - even overwrought Assisi - it would amass legions of strong reviews. That this is a a Gothic Franciscan church is unusual, except for the fact that it was once Benedictine previously. If you're anywhere in the area, it's well worth a trip to see the wonders of Todi, especially the most impressive Tempio.

Wonderful kaleidoscope of early medieval architecture from 12th century build on Roman forum onwards- each building different and much changed over the millennia- former arches closed up, windows moved etc - a great tapestry!

Architecturally and archaeologically interesting, particularly the very early mediaeval crypt (access down internal stairs and from the main crypt door at the back on the right). The carvings on the exterior of the apsidal crypt should not be missed, with jolly, beaking animal faces and incredible technical skill demonstrated in the detail and beautiful, assured construction. (See it at the rear of the Cathedral. This is in technical and aesthetic terms perhaps even more precious than the (later) front facade. The recent careful and beautiful repair of the internal floor revealed Roman and other early discoveries, well documented in an interesting display inside the Cathedral. The crypt contains some very interesting late mediaeval free-standing sculptures.

Saint Fortunato beckons from above in all its largesse- teasing with its unfinished, less than imposing two faced unfinished exterior: "Make the piccolo pilgrimage up and in to see what's ahead". How did the Franciscans come to express their values in a Gothic setting, virtually unheard of anywhere? It turns out the church was originally Benedictine, which explains the confusion.
Its size is imposing, built from the late 13th through the 14th century, with an impressive display of imposing frescoes. Under the altar and beneath is the potent somewhat Napoleonic marble tomb of a wealthy merchant who changed his ways dramatically upon the death of his wife, so much so as to be rejected by the Franciscans as rigidly austere in his religiosity. He was later castigated as a heretic, but won that battle to become a principal heroic figured father figure to Todi.
The reinvented Jacapone also left us with a major work-th Laudi which, along with Dante's La Comedia is considered a primary source in the stabilization and transition to an Italian language.
Finally, there is the incandescent stain glass which looks as if it were completed yesterday and finish buffed this morning. The Church of Saint Fortunate reminds us not to judge a book by its unimpressive cover, especially a holy one.

The Todini winery is located in Todi, in the heart of Umbria, and is equipped with modern technology. It produces red and white wines DOC and IGT. The main grape varieties are Grechetto di Todi and Sangiovese, respectively used in producing the well known wines Bianco del Cavaliere and Rubro; Merlot and Cabernet (used for the top wine Nero della Cervara), Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio are also grown in the vineyards. The continuous research for an innovative and advanced production, gave rise in 2013 to a new red and white wine free of added sulfite: Marte Bianco and Marte Rosso, respectively Grechetto and Sangiovese. The hospitality is integral part of the Company itself and finds its place in a large and elegant tasting room dedicated to wine tourism activities and events in cooperation with the prestigious Relais Todini and its restaurant L'Altro Relais Todi.

Roccafiore winery is a brand new winery in Umbria Italy.
It is very interesting to visit this very modern winery equiped with the best infrastructure mponey can buy.
The tasting takes place outside with a breathtaking few on the countryside with in the background the town of Todi on a hill.
