There is an unexpectedly large terraced area at the back of the building with stunning views across the valley. It's a great place to enjoy a relaxed lunch especially as it's so close to the main piazza. We weren't expecting the food to be as good as it was, particularly as the prices were so reasonable. Pizzas were exceptional - thin, crispy & topped with super fresh ingredients. Salads too, were excellent. We didn't try the pasta but plates being carried past our table looked tempting. Service was jolly, the vibe good. OK, cheap plastic Seating outside but with food this good, who cares?

This place is warm and comfortable-and very accommodating. If you are looking for an intimate dinner, this is the place. Pure Umbrian food that is prepared fresh and brought directly to the table. The wine selection is also outstanding. While others may complain about the service we had quite the opposite experience-it was prompt and attentive. We went with the staff recommendations for entrees and wine and were not let down at all. The restaurant is also convenient from the lift.

La Scalette is located down a flight of steps in a pretty alleyway just off the main street coming from the funicular. The restaurant is much more than a pizzeria and serves a full menu of Umbrian fare. The restaurant is a series of small cellar rooms which creates a cozy intimate atmosphere. There is a panoramic Terrace if that is your preference. Food was very good, service was friendly and helpful and prices were reasonable. There are several great restaurants in Todi and this one deserves to be on the short list of the best.

Sat outside for lunch on hot day and was quite noisy from the road and building work next door. But food was good and service with a smile.

Torre Sangiovanni offers an intimate and welcoming restaurant where Rosary will delight you with her own recipes from her home region. Italian fusion cuisine? Perhaps, but most importantly a feast of flavours from Umbria with a twist from northern Italy. Rosary and her "little, big kitchen" prepare home made jams and preserves served with cheese, lip-smacking toppings for bruschetta, typical umbrian cheese bread or olives and walnut loaves, pickled vegetables and, last but not least, the home made Lemon, Orange or Walnut liquors. Everything is minute maid and served in the two cozy dining rooms or, when in season, in the terraced garden. All ingredients are local and represent the excellent food tradition of Umbria. The wine list is equally carefully populated with many local and national winemakers. The decor, with tables and 19th century paintings, the copper and brass antiques and the old Deruta ceramics confer to the two dining rooms a refined and intimate character. During the summer months, our guest can dine "al fresco". The outdoors terraced patio, overlooking the garden, provides the perfect set for a romantic dinner for two.
The setting is a paradise,so peaceful and quiet, you can eat in the small garden.. the waitress is very kind and helpful,as the owner. The food is superb: we had a big antipasto with salumi, bruschette, cheeses, then two first courses with truffle. Nothing else to say, just hope we can come back soon!!! Ps: they have also a big parking, that was an important point!!

We are attempting to eat our way across Todi and the environs. After sampling several recommended restaurants in Todi and Montefalco we finally ventured to John Patterson's newest terraced restaurant. We had our best meal on this trip to Italy! Our selections were the "world famous" Tagliolini cacio e pepe with truffles and the filet of beef with black truffle sauce. Both dishes were simply outstanding. We also indulged ourselves with the Torta Perugina (flourless chocolate tort). Not quite, Williamsburg's "Death by Chocolate" but the closest chocolate dish we've found lately.
A Seating tip, facing the panoramic view, sit on the left or in the center not on the right. If the breeze dies down, there can be an occasional wiff of "bouquet de alley".

in the months of January and February on Monday and on Tuesday we will be open only by appointment dinner, thanks
The trattoria was very nice and cosy and the meal was good. But when it was time to pay problems arrived. The payment terminal was out of paper and therefore they charged our meals twice. Instead of 100€ the finally bill was 200€!
Unfortunately we did not notice the mistake in trattoria. We noticed it in Finland when we got the MasterCard bill! After that we immediately tried to contact the owners that they correct the bill, but no results. We have sent several emails without no response. Perhaps we have to solve this problem with the police.

fiorfiore restaurant offers its own guests an elegant modern cuisine, combined with a refined selection of typical dishes of the umbrian regional tradition. dishes are proposed in various menus and prepared using exclusively of the roccafiore farm or rearby companies. the use of absolutely wholesome product, togheter with the refinement of the matching of flavour, allowed fiorfiore to be mentioned in the most prestigious italian oenogastronomical guides with excellent reviews.
We had a family lunch this past week at FiorFiore. It was the very best meal we had in Umbria and the setting was idyllic. We ate outside on what was almost our own private patio which was perfect since we had a baby and three children. As we were waiting to order we saw the Delivery of the warm fresh buffalo mozzarella. The food is creative but based upon Umbrian concepts, My sone and daughter in law had the gamberoni crude with mozzarells - our son thought it was one of the best dishes he had ever had. I ordered the fresh mozzarella and tomatoes - yes simplicity and yet incredible ingredients. As with all the Italian restaurants they accommodated our grand children with a broad children's menu that even included a veal steak. The breads are fresh and homemade. The police oil superb but the wine list is something my husband is still talking about . We definitely want to return. Why does Italy have to be so far away from California? P.S. the hotel looked incredible.

Loved the wild boar dish and the pasta with black truffle sauce. It's a big restaurant, so there's not the cosy, romantic feel. But if you're going for the food, you won't be disappointed.

In a country of good gelato, this one stands out. Lots of flavors; very creamy. Big Seating area just outside.
