We hired a double kayak for $20 for one hour. This was great value compared to places we have seen in other areas. We found the one hour hire was enough as beginners but we could have extended for $15/hr thereafter. This area is perfect for kayaking especially during low tide to allow you to explore the sandbanks. We kayaked for a while and beached the kayak on a huge sandbank to explore by foot. Awesome fun!

Everyone has Noosa on their list so the place gets overcrowded. The National Park is a great asset and the rangers do a great job in maintaining the area. The headland walk is a must do activity with some amazing scenery.
Boiling Pot and Hells Gate are key attractions along with the beauty of Alexandria Bay. Don’t do this walk without a camera or smartphone!

Brisbane Whale Watching

Brisbane Whale Watching invites you to come on board the magnificent Eye-Spy for an encounter with the whales. There’s no better place to observe the mighty Humpback than Brisbane’s Moreton Bay.

Reviewed By CJFallowfield - Llandrinio, United Kingdom

I was scheduled to go on this trip on a Friday, and sat at the meeting point for over 40 minutes waiting to be collected, only to find that it had been cancelled, so instead it was rearranged for the following Monday. By the time the tour bus had stopped to pick everyone up, it was just over an hour before we arrived in Redcliffe to walk out to the jetty to board the lovely Eyespy. I'd paid for the VIP ticket, which meant a separate air-conditioned cabin with a table and guaranteed window view, and it included a free drink and buffet lunch (I didn't partake in lunch so can't comment on this side of the trip). As it was almost the end of the season, and a week day to boot, there was probably no more than 60 people onboard, which meant that over the three decks there was plenty of room for people to spread out to get good shots of the whales. I'm not sure how easy that would have been if the ship was at full capacity. We were lucky enough to see three pods of whales during out time out, though the coveted "breaches" where the whales jump right out of the water, were at a distance, so you'd only have been able to capture those shots with a professional camera and zoom lens. We did see lots of rolling, slapping of tails and fins though - It's easy to get too wrapped up in trying to capture the perfect shot and not just taking the time to appreciate the beauty of witnessing this once almost extinct creature in all of its beauty - so I actually put my camera away and chose to be in the moment. A word of warning, it was a cloudy day with a strong breeze out on the water, so I didn't notice how strong the sun actually was and came away with quite painful sunburn - always put your suncream on when out on the water! It's heartbreaking to think that these magnificent creatures were hunted and killed in such a barbaric manner, thank goodness they are now protected and their numbers are increasing year on year. A very enjoyable day out, sunburn aside!

Mooloolaba Beach

Reviewed By annettelaurie - Plymouth, United Kingdom

Just a fabulous beach to lay back and chill. There is so much at Mooloolaba, free parking, great restaurants and coffee shops, fabulous changing rooms , showers and toilets and then there is the beach, backed by a brilliant boardwalk which can take you all the way along to the point and the seafood market. It is the best place to come for fresh fish lunch and then to chill out on golden sands, plenty of shady areas and importantly a lifeguard manned beach with safe swimming and waves not too fierce they will roll you over. There are rock pools at one end for kids to play in and a little further in the other direction, beach volleyball set ups. You don’t need anything more from a beach than what you get here and it is truly one of our favourites and we come here at least once every time we come across from the UK.

Kings Beach has it all! Safe, lifeguard patrolled beach for swimmers and surfers, broad areas of sand which are brilliant for walkers, rock wall, lovely cafes right near the water..... On the day we visited, dozens of kite surfers brightened up the sky with their colourful canopies dancing above the waves. Just magical!

A lovely smaller seaside village atmosphere at Peregian Beach.
This little village has revolved over the last 3 - 4 decades, yet maintains that village charm about it. Some excellent dining outlets and also clothing and homewares shops.
It’s not as busy or commercial as Coolum, just down the road, and hopefully it will stay that way whilst progressing.
The beach itself - one of the best the Noosa / Sunshine Coast has to offer.
Clean, superb sand and surf ‍♂️.
Surf fishing worth a go too!

We booked onto the 1 day self guided tour (it turns out just after they had closed the diary for that day), despite the mini bus being full for pick ups on the day Kym was so accommodating and they arranged to pick us up in a big car along with our friends. Kym was so lovey and friendly! On the tour you get a map to help you get around which is really helpful and even points out a place to stop for lunch. It was quite hard work by the end of the day but great fun! Would highly recommend!
