Strand Beach

Reviewed By Kashi P - Greater Johannesburg, South Africa

Clean beach with soft white sand. Water is much warmer than other parts of the Cape as the water is a mix of the Indian and Atlantic oceans. Better for padlersz swimmers and body boarders. Not the best for surfers. Better for beginner surfers.

Vergelegen Estate

Vergelegen - no ordinary Estate. Founded on 1 February 1700, Vergelegen (meaning "situated far away"), has been under the ownership of some of the world's great explorers and visionaries, each of whom, in their own way, have helped shape Vergelegen to what it is today: a world-class Estate. With its world renowned handcrafted wines, history spanning over 300 years, heritage, exquisite Gardens and refined cuisine, it comes as no surprise that Vergelegen continues to be the choice of the discerning visitor seeking a total sensory experience. For this reason, the Estate has borne witness to many visits of heads of state and celebrities from all over the world. Think of Vergelegen to spend quality time on your own, with your family and friends or business associates - wine tasting centre and cellar tours, Camphors at Vergelegen Signature Restaurant, Stables at Vergelegen Bistro Restaurant and the Picnic, are only a few of a myriad of enjoyable activities at Vergelegen. We invite you to experience the world of Vergelegen first-hand.

I visited Vergelegen for a tasting and was very impressed! The wine tasting was very informative and the service was great! The Gardens are absolutely beautiful and definitely worth a visit - this is most certainly a farm you could spend an entire day at! Cannot think of a better way to spend a Sunday!

Mukda Thai Spa

Reviewed By Albert S - Aberdeenshire, United Kingdom

We had passed the Mukda Thai Spa several times during this visit to Gordon's Bay, one day we decided to visit as we felt like some relaxation. The gate man was very helpful and encouraged us to have our treat that day. As we entered we were welcomed as if we were royalty, the reception staff were so very helpful as we decided to have a reflexology session. This was so very relaxing as our feet was worked on we both nodded off for a wee spell.
At the conclusion we were advised that we would benefit from a further visit for a full herbal and hot oil massage.
Due to the relaxing peaceful setting and superior treatment we had just enjoyed we decided to book for a further session.
Our second visit was every bit as enjoyable as the first and we were treated equally as well as the first time. It is a truly relaxing experience and I would advise any one needing / wanting some TLC to visit the Mukda Thai Spa

Last week we spent a few hours visiting this magnificent estate. The Gardens were recently re-landscaped. They are beautiful. Occasional sculptures are strategically placed. The art galleries offer beautiful work. We have previously visited the coffee shop & restaurant. This time we popped in for a wine tasting. The tasting was professionally conducted & the wines outstanding.

Rentabicycle is very reliable service of high quality. Personnel was trustworthy and he even refunded my costs for the locker that I had to buy in addition. In five days I've made 400 km around Cape Town with no problems. This way of travelling around is the best way to explore the Cape Peninsula.

Life jackets are available for little kids with strict policy of life jackets if the kids go on the bigger slides with older children / adults. In beauty, sustainable farming and delicious wines. Wow. Immediately joined the wine club and made a restaurant booking. It should be on everybody's MUST DO list!
