Despite the arduous hike up and down the narrow, rocky, path leading to these falls, the experience was most certainly worth every hard step. Go here to see and swim in the crystal clear pool at the foot of the falls. Our guide got us off to an early start in the morning so that we could arrive in mid-morning and see the special color of the water in the pool at that time of time. None of the photos available on the web do this place justice. You must see to believe.This was truly an awesome experience for us!

Small and easy walk to reach this beeauty in the midle of pure nature. You can spend whole day and swim or walk around the river and search beautifull corners without no one. Natural jaccuzi anf refreshing watter, what else?

You will have to hike almost 7km to reach the King of Prata's waterfall. To tal ly worth! It could be 10 and still be worth!
Refreshing environment with a great water colors.
There are even little fishes that do the little bitting at your feet. Amazing XP!

To do this hike, don't enter the NP but follow the signs to Abismo. You will have to pay R10 to get in. Follow the signs to Abismo and from there there will be an arrow to point the way to the lookout.
There are no more signs but only one path, so no problem. The trail is a bit harder than the ones inside the park but no problem if you're used to hiking. We went rather slow (hurting knee) and it took us 3 hours return (just walking time, without the stop on top). From the center of São Jorge it's 13 km return.
There is not much shade, bring plenty of water and enjoy the great view on top!

The cave is absolutely astonishing. It's alive, with water dripping from every crack. The rock formations are amazing, but it's not adapted for tourism - you are sure to find it hard to get to the nice places. There are ropes on the harder tracks, but it still an effort.

The location and charming, full of beauties around you, where you can see several Waterfalls of varying sizes and lots of green area.
The owner, a nature lover, maintains an on-site restaurant and offers delicious homemade food, where you pay for the day and lunch is already included.
Will definitely come one day.

Good to go with kids. Go to walk in front of the river. Enjoy a great ice cream nearby. You can seat on a bench there and just relax and appreciate the landscape
