Best attraction in Sabará. It's a very small chapell a little outside (a tourist shouldn't walk up to place, but it's a nice walk if the person is used to walking). Likely to be closed or under maintenance.

A Igreja de Nossa Senhora do Carmo é uma jóia em Sabará. Dizem que é a única na qual Aleijadinho trabalhou, deixando sua assinatura nas belas esculturas da igreja. A entrada custa R$4,00. Um senhor, responsável pela igreja me deu todas as informações, deixou tirar fotos sem flash, e até abriu uma tábua no assoalho onde enterravam autoridades eclesiásticas na igreja. Explicou sobre o barroco e o rococó. Valeu a pena!!!

It's an unfinished church from the XIX century. Inside its ruins was built another church/museum and it was supposed to open at specific times... but it wasn't.

It's been practically rebuilt and it's functioning normally as an actual theatre, but the place is 100% a museum in itself. It stays open with only a student as a porter but that's what's best about visiting it: the tourist is left alone to walk around everywhere, so go up stage (pretend you're an attraction and test the incredible acoustics by asking your friends to stay at different seats while you sing something), go up and down and inside everywhere (the place is pretty small)!

A Igreja de São Francisco de Assis fica no Centro Histórico de Sabará, no topo de uma ladeira. No momento está fechada aos visitantes. As pessoas dizem que todos os monumentos históricos de Sabará estão em péssimo estado de conservação, mas que a grande parte do dinheiro destinadp à restauração vai para Ouro Preto. Infelizmente não pude entrar nesta igreja que dizem que guarda imagens que são verdadeiras relíquias.

Esta igreja fica na Praça principal no Centro Histórico de Sabará. Por fora, o complexo abriga uma capela, um pequeno museu e as ruínas com suas grossas Paredes muito bem construídas. A entrada custa R$4,00 e a senhorinha da recepção dá todas as explicações sobre as curiosidades da construção da igreja. Com certeza vale a visita.

Uno dei tanti edifici coloniali di Sabarà che si vedono nel centro storico. Oggi sede della municipalità della città. Non è visitabile all'interno, se non al piano terra.
