We spent a few hours in this north-coast Breton village and area recently while visiting relatives who've moved to the Cotes d'Armor region. One day we drove to Ploumanac'h, a small fishing village, a few kilometers from Perros-Guirec. Unfortunately, I think, the tide was out and so the sea had retreated quite a distance from the coastal walkway (sentier), leaving seaweed and other bottom debris very visible against the very-beautiful nonetheless backdrop of the huge blocks of ruddy-pink granite (a natural phenomenon, dating from the last Ice Age glaciers & aftermath of erosion) that line the shore for about 50 kilometers along this deeply-indented coastline.
Even though it was the 14th July Holiday weekend, we were amazed that the location was NOT overly crowded - it was mixed sun & clouds, about 72 F (21 C) after Noon with a bit of sea breeze - perfect walking conditions, in fact. For me the prettiest part was a slight (100 meters) detour inland where some huge (house size) boulders, sculpted by wind and water erosion, pile up along a secondary path - one could imagine an ancient "elephant leg" or a "dinosaur head" being left to crystalize into stone...
This coast is definitely "worth a detour" but I think I'd have liked it better at High Tide when the water laps at the grantite rocks and time seems to have stood still... We had a great lunch overlooking the fishing harbor but that's for another review.

Great place for a walk among giant pink coloured rocks. Park near the campsite and walk left from the public car park and you will be well rewarded with the sites. Walk as far as the bay over the head land as there some great places to sit and refresh yourself

I have been visiting the Pink Granite Coast for many years, but somehow I had missed this little gem accessible by driving to Tregastel and then driving on to the northeastern-most point on the coastline. Renote is not really an island, but a little peninsula connected to the Mainland by a narrow, sandy isthmus. You can drive to a parking area, and then the 'island' must be visited on foot, as it is a pedestrian-only zone. But don't let that keep you from making the walking loop, because it will be one of the nicest experiences you will ever have along Brittany's Pink Granite Coast. You can make the loop in about 45 minutes or less if you don't stop too often. But trust me, you'll want to climb on the rocks and take lots of photos because it is that great. Take a picnic lunch. There are benches in several locations, but you can also just find a spot on the boulders and have a wonderful meal surrounded by nature's magnificence.

Good choice on a dull day. Very informative exhibits (with labelling in English as well as French) tracing telecomms history from the earliest semaphores to the internet age. Daily shows in the radome (mostly in French, with occasional ones in English and German - check times online) in front of the huge horn antenna used to receive the first transatlantic TV pictures from America in 1962.

Pour une balade au calme, je vous la recommande vivement. Amateur de jogging, j'ai eu la possibilité de courir dans de très bon sentier. La 1ère partie de la Promenade au départ de la plage est faite de caillebotis en bois très pratique pour les poussettes d'enfants.

Highlight of our long weekend in perros-guirec--not strenuous but please wear walking shoes (not sandals). Bring water because there's none on the route. Plenty of photographic moments here.

whenever I'm in town I must go here--they have a huge pool filled with body temperature sea water and jets/currents circulating throughout the pool--they offer an aquagym class which is wonderful--after--for further pleasure go into the hot suana/dry sauna/ temporium/jacuzzi and 2 other type of heated rooms--the place is keep clean--they have showers and an excellent view of the water while you're swimming--and if you must exercise they have a cutting edge exercise room with all the equipment you can imagine--when it's raining come in here and spend the afternoon

We love this place. Lovingly mainly wooden or stone handmade Gauloise play park with lots of handmade games, Ball runs, a battering ram firing balls into a lake, boating water fights. Bring a picnic or eat at the Creperie. Small underground maze torches recommended. Set up mainly for youngish children ours enjoyed it most around 4-8 years but us adults find the games amusing too. It can get busy on sunny days. It's our third visit and we have never been disappointed.

Amazing bird reserve and definitely a bucket list must see if you are in the northern part of Brittany/Bretagne. Book the boat ride at Perros Guirec at least 1 day in advance and they have flyers in different languages to get more info on these Islands and seabird if you don't speak french. Take the boat ride with 1.5 hours stop on one of these Islands and I saw many birds and their babies on this stop. Morning ride is better if u want to see more birds.
