Minoo Park

We visited Minoo Park after a morning rain so it was a cold overcast afternoon. The autumn colors were stunning we couldn’t stop taking pictures along the 2.8 km uphill path going to the Minoo waterfalls. It was my 5th time in the Kansai area so we decided to go “off the beaten path” and it was all worth it. If you stay in Northern Osaka this is just a 15 minute train ride to the outskirts. It was so easy to find, we saw the signs as soon as we got off the train. It was a serene and pretty place with crisp clean air. I would love to go back on a sunny day though.

Expo '70 Commemorative Park

I'm not normally one to get excited by strolling in the gardens, but this was actually quite good fun. The autumn colours especially made it enjoyable, and the fresh air and blue skies helped. The highlight was the Sun God statue you encounter when you come in - I quite like that sort of sculpture but it may not be everyones taste. Note, I got in to the park for free on the day I visited. Not sure why. I don't know what entry normally is, but that may have changed my opinion a bit - but still, if you enjoy a stroll in parks and gardens, this will be fun.

If I was rating just the park I would of given a 4 star but due to the staff all being fantastic it’s gone up to a 5 The actual park is not the biggest and several rides are very dated now and need changing eg .... Back draft ride ... I’m 40 and even I don’t remember when that film came out or what’s it was about .... apart from fire lol Terminator 2 ride was very slow and dragged , jaws classic ride can’t fault it , Spider-Man great , The pterodactyl ride in Jurassic Park was amazing and Harry Potter world didn’t disappoint The late night parade was good and great effects We went on Feb on a week day and the Qs were only half hr max so no issues there Would recommend for a day out lots of fun and the staff were all fantastic

Formally the home of the wife of 16th-century Japanese ruler Toyotomi Hideyoshi, the 15-acre Nishinomaru Garden is one of Osaka's most beloved cherry blossom viewing spots, with the Osaka Castle Tower enhancing the backdrop.

Went during sakura season and the park was beautifully filled with beautiful cherry trees that were in bloom. Plenty of seating and grounds to have picnics on.

The Rinku Premium Outlets are near Kansai Airport and offer considerable discounts on high-end Japanese and international brands at 210 stores. Outlets include Michael Kors, Gucci, Nike, and Seiko.

As mentioned in many posts, this place is one stop before Kansai airport if you are coming from Osaka city on the Nankai Express. I find the goods here are much cheaper than those shops selling in Osaka city. Got a great pair of Ascis shoes which is cheaper by around 4000 yen. Highly recommended if you have the time for shopping. There is also a place to store your luggage if you are catching a flight off Kansai airport after your shopping.
