Announcing the opening of the 7th official hotel of Universal Studios Japan at Universal City Area! Hotel Universal Port Vita is designed in the image of the sun. Just as the land is connected to the sky, space, and to the sun, each floor and room provides a different atmosphere, special and unique experience.
My buddy and I used Hotel Port Vita as put accomodation when spending 9 day in Japan this month and couldn't have been happier. It was perfectly located for a visit to USJ just a 5 minute walk away and City Walk where there you can find both local and western styles food (stick local!) It was only 3 train stops to the Osaka Loop Line which served the most popular locations in the Kansai area. This included Osaka itself, Kyoto and Nara. The furthest of which was about an hour away. It was also only about 3 hours to Tokyo. The hotel room itself was spacious and very well equipped. The staff were brilliant and spoke very good English (we did try basic communication in Japanese) I wouldn't hesitate to stay again here even if we didn't intend on going to Universal Studios. Thank you so much to the staff who were exceptional polite throughout our stay

HOTEL UNIVERSAL PORT is an official hotel of Universal Studios Japan™, located in Osaka ( Osaka Bayside ), close to Universal Studios Japan™ and Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan. Our room space is No.1 in the area and Wi-Fi use is complementary free.
We stayed here recently with family of 4 ( 2 young kids of 10 and 7 yo) during a recent visit to Osaka. Our primary focus was Universal, although we only visited Universal for several days and did some other excursions. We found the hotel to be a great stay and would highly recommend it. It's all about location here as hotel is a 5-10 minute walk to Universal front gate and across the street is the subway/train station to explore all of Osaka and also Universal Street Walk. Hotel was very clean and although I'm not a fan of big corporate hotels, this stay felt more family oriented. They have a Lawson's downstairs which was great. We opted to pay for their breakfast which was good. Stay was expensive however and I think we paid over $400 USD per night.... so you get what you pay for..... Room was large with big bathroom. Came with fridge and safe. Highly recommend this hotel on your next stay.

The Hotel Nikko Osaka faces the main avenue, Midosuji and is directly connected to Subway Shinsaibashi Station. The hotel stands as the landmark of Osaka's central area, Minami, where you will find popular places such as Dotonbori, shopping districts, brand-name shops,Amerika mura,Donkihote, Universal Studios Japan (R) etc. The location is also convenient for access to Kyoto,Kobe and Nara. At Hotel Nikko Osaka you will find restaurants and lounges that allow you to enjoy the changing colors of gingko trees lining Midosuji Avenue throughout the different seasons.
Spent one night at this property. It is very well located within the Shinsaibashi-Suji shopping street. Rooms are small, as is the case with most Japanese hotels, but well furnished, modern and clean. Price is a little high

Hotel location was fabulous easy to access from the train station Reception is on the 19th floor Checkin super smooth, staff awesome, very polite and Professional, lobby is fabulous but that’s were is ended Rooms looked tired and old Bedding was cheap Carpets looked dirty To be honest the room was pretty yucky ? did not feel welcoming or comfy The massage chair was disgusting I’m not sure how many guests have sat in it but the dirt marks are still there The best part of my room was the view Would I stay again absolutely not if a little money was spent upgrading the rooms it would be a fabulous hotel but the fact the rooms are tired, carpet needs cleaning, bedding was nasty I was disappointed ???????? Cables overflowing under the TV ? ❌❌❌ Bathroom was simply a unit and a old one

Opened just opposite the park's main gate on August 1, 2015, it is the closest hotel to the complex. When you step into the new hotel, you feel as if you have been transported to the U.S.A., the home of Universal Studios. [Operated by Tokyu Hotels]
The hotel was located the closest I had ever been to a theme park. Simply amazing not to be running late with kids. The views were nice from the room. Room was spacious. The hotel had a "futuristic" theme. The breakfast was nice in the hotel. There were Lawson's and plenty of coffee places and restaurants just at the exits of the hotels.

This hotel has been welcoming both domestic and foreign guests for over 85 years as the state guest house of Osaka. Guest rooms based on five different concepts provide relaxation for guests, and the hotel includes substantial amenity facilities as well, including 20 restaurants known collectively as “Royal Dining,” an impressively large banquet hall the likes of which are few and far between in Osaka, and a take-out shop which is perfect for souvenirs. Guests will also find a wide range of facilities here prepared to support a comfortable stay, including a swimming club complete with a 25 meter swimming pool and a relaxation pool, beauty and business salons, and more. The hotel is located adjacent to the Osaka International Convention Center and provides a free shuttle bus to Osaka Station, which is approximately 10 minutes away. It is also connected with Nakanoshima Station, which is approximately one hour from Kyoto, making the location perfect for both business and sightseeing.
The hotel is a big convention centre with a lot of tourists from around the world. It is a very big building and you can’t miss it. The hotel was nice and it did a job for a nights stay but the room was very basic and had tired furnishings. It also advertises that it had a pool, but this was closed. The hotel also advertised a gym for guests but this was an extra charge which wasn’t advertised when booking the hotel via hotels.com. There is a free shuttle bus which was handy to head to Osaka station as it is quite a walk otherwise.

RESPIRE combines the meanings of the words “rest,” as in to have a rest, and “inspire,” as in to have one’s senses stimulated and be filled with vitality. RESPIRE also means “to breathe.” Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE aims to offer you a place where you can relax comfortably and also be revitalized for the next day, giving you the sensation of having taken a deep breath of fresh air.
As you are aware, the coronavirus pandemic that has effected all of Asia and travel from Australia has now been restricted with a compulsory 14-day self quarantine period upon return. Despite making a reservation with this hotel on November 25th 2019, prior to any hint of a pandemic occurring, this hotel has refused to offer a refund for the cancellation of the trip. They also refused to give us credit if we rescheduled a trip back to Osaka when the pandemic is cleared. I totally understand that the situation with the reduced tourism & travel during the pandemic period and how it will affect the hotel's profit margin, the pandemic is not something that we could never foresee. Cancelling the whole family trip it's not something that we were hoping to do. Even if they kept the money they gave us credit for a future reservation, that would have been the better compromise for us as we were looking forward to fly into Japan to be part of the Cherry Blossom festival some day. Despite numerous communications with this hotel, they have not changed the decision. If we ever travel to Japan again for the Cherry Blossom festival, this hotel will never be one that we will ever stay because of their lack of compassion. Good Luck with your occupancy for the rest of 2020. Osaka, you should be ashamed of Hotel Hankyu Respire for its poor customer service

Since we're in a central location right next to a station, our hotel is ideal for both business and leisure. To make your experience with us even better, we have an array of restaurants and bars, festive party rooms, and even a chapel, all in this urban-style hotel. And if you have any special requests, we're always here to answer to them.
We stayed in Hotel New Hankyu Osaka for my Wife’s birthday weekend. We were told on check in that the Hotel Bar shut at 11.00 pm for residents. We returned from a night out at 10.35 pm for a night cap having left a local restaurant in order to be on time for bar closing. Several bar staff were in attendance. It was also my 60th birthday, we were in two couples. The staff said last orders was at 10.30 pm. ~ on pointing out it stated 11.00 pm on our booking, they passed me a print out to confirm it was 11.00 pm, but last orders was 10.30 pm? On complaining they became rude, and impolite. We therefore complained at reception and retired to bed. I’d strongly suggest if you visit Osaka, give this place a miss! The competition locally (and service), is much more congenial. If you do decide to stay.... good luck, I wish you better luck (and service), than we had! Kindest Regards Paul
