While I wouldn't travel to Rostov just to see it; if you're already going, it's worth taking a look as it is the only city in all of Russia with this particular type of mosaic art. It depicts typical soviet scenes of education and lifestyle and also scenes from World War II. You can find this art in a number of underpasses along the main street: Bolshaya Sadovaya Ulitsa.

Rostov Zoo

Of advantages - a large collection of animals over a large area. Of the shortcomings - needs renovation, both the animal rooms, and walking paths. Some species (like tigers, wolves) are still kept in cages. In my opinion, having such a large territory, the administration could think about how to extend the laws for animals, and do not keep them in cages as it did 100 years ago.
