For more detailed information, check out the daily activity schedule online.
I recently went on the VIP Experience at the BC Wildlife Park. My sister and I loved going around the bobcat and wolves enclosures to hide the food, and got some great pictures of the animals in action. We did not get up close interactions with the animals, but we did get to go into their enclosure. My grandparents use a walker, and were able to walk around the park with relative ease, and even got to ride on the train. The only thing I would have wanted was more information on the animals at their enclosures. I would highly suggest going through the VIP Experience and asking lots of questions.

A great place to walk, lawn bowl, skateboard and watch a baseball game. There are other activities as well. Lots of people out on sunny days but plenty of space to get around.

I always go to this park when I go through Kamloops. I have done this with my own children in the 1970s and now with grandchildren. It is beautifully maintained with walking and cycling paths, playgrounds, spray park, picnic areas and beautiful groomed gardens along the river.

Crafted in small quantities, PRIVATO creates premium-quality, single-vineyard Burgundy wines. From their quaint and intimate tasting room to the picnic area and vineyards, the experience truly exudes a sense of charm. As Debbie puts it, "there is not a day that goes by that we don't truly appreciate and marvel at the loveliness of the vineyard right outside our back door. I'm convinced that the experience our visitors have here along with the quality of the wine is what brings them back again and again." TASTING ROOM HOURS 2019; May through October 13 10:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, October 14-27 Thursday-Sunday 11:00 am-4:00 pm, November 23-December 22 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Our group of three stopped by the winery today and had the loveliest of experiences... the grounds, the tables scattered around the lawns, the chickens wandering by the coop, it was gorgeous! And then there was the young lady hosting the outdoor tasting tables, (we think her name was May?) She managed numerous tasting groups singlehandedly...joking, smiling, keeping the tables sanitized and safe... she was amazing...The wine was delicious and we left with several bottles. And we’ll be back, we are locals and will certainly bring friends throughout the summer... thanks for a great day!

The first winery to open in Kamloops Harper's Trail Estate Winery, named for the cattle drive "trail" of pioneer rancher Thaddeus Harper, is the first winery from Kamloops. Tucked into the city outskirts on the bank of the South Thompson River, Thadd Springs Vineyard sits among rolling hills of sage and grass, home to Bighorn sheep, bears, and myriad birds. The backdrop of limestone, Hoodoos, and a natural spring set the biodiversity of this rare place. Harper's Trail wines are Thompson Okanagan grown and made, reflective of the region's terroir that show gorgeous minerality and crisp acidity. Visit today and taste the untamed land..
Really good wines and awesome view while sipping a glass of wine at their patio..really good prices on the wines too

The Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park is located along the banks of the beautiful South Thompson River. The Secwepemc Museum & Heritage Park consists of both an inside and outside viewing experience for visitors. The tour of the museum offers a rich history of the life of the Secwepemc people. Once inside the museum visitors can view "The Land of the Secwepemc" DVD, and can then immerse themselves in the beautiful artefacts and displays within the four galleries that are offered.Afterwards, the Heritage park offers a trail of over a kilometre of archaeological remains of a 2,000 year old Secwepemc winter village. The winter village consists of 1 reconstructed winter pit-houses, and summer tule mat lodges which feature various unique food preparation structures. In addition; for viewing pleasure, is one of Kamloops Marshes that is filled with beautiful wildlife and visitors may even be able to get a glimpse of the Coyote (Skelep) and her pups that are currently living in the area.
I visited here while doing a road trip in Canada, from Vancouver to the Banff, and back again. I loved Kamloops from the first time we visited the town. Real name is Tk'əmlúps, which shows how proud they are of their First Nations culture and how strong it is here. For me, this museum was a must see. It gave a great insight into the history and culture of the First Nations people and how they live in the 21st century. Add this to your list to get a real experience of the lives of this wonderful culture, the foundations of the Americas, before Europe got there.
