I decided that I wanted to try horse riding after looking for things to do in Paphos during the winter. I filled in an application form online, which gives them and idea about your experience of horse riding. I then received an email telling us when they had availability and confirming we would go on the date agreed. When we got to Cyprus the weather forecast wasn’t on our side so we had to rearrange the day of the ride, again this was done through email but was quick and easy to organise.
When the day came for our ride, we had arranged to be picked up from our hotel, they were very punctual to pick us up. When we got to the ranch we were greeted by Cleo who explained he would be our guide. My partner was a little apprehensive about trying this experience but Cleo was great. He brought the horses down and before we set off he gave us a few minutes in the yard explaining how to control the horses and gave us a couple of try’s (I haven’t ridden for quite a while).
When we set off, Cleo was walking so he could control the horses if needed, we set off into the Mountains and he gave us lots of info about the area. We reached a place that had amazing views and the let us stay a couple of minutes to admire the view and he also took plenty of photos for us.
We did the 2 hour sunset ride but unfortunately the sun decided not to come out at this time so we didn’t get much of a sunset, but we really enjoyed the experience. The horses were fab and Cleo really put us at ease with the horses. Would highly recommend this experience. And would love to do it again next time we come to Paphos!

Tala Monastery Cat Park

We visited late one morning, between 11.30am and 1pm as suggested by one of the volunteers. Easy drive to get to and plenty of parking. As soon as you pull up, cats come over to say hello. We were overwhelmed by the number of cats but mostly by how friendly they all are! They were all so affectionate with a couple even climbing up us to have welcome cuddles. So many different colours, sizes and breeds greeted us. For just €50 we were able to 'adopt' a cat, choosing one and giving them a name. You can stay as long as you like and many people go to volunteer for a few hours, day etc. We sadly didn't have time to help as were going home but thoroughly enjoyed cuddling the cats for a couple hours. They rely solely on donations and volunteers to keep going so please do visit and take a little something. We took some food, litter and treats and they were very pleased with the small offering. They work so hard all for the cats and even know each of their names! Our 5 year old son has told everyone about the cats and we can't wait to visit again!

For less than 15 Euro we got 100 balls, golf clubs plus excellent instruction about how golf and and an explanation about the different type of golf clubs including what the number club meant. None of us had ever played "real" golf before. It was really fun to watch family members learn how to really hit the balls far. You can aim at the flags at different distances.
Good fun - especially for older kids.
Call and check times before. The driving range was only working in the morning hours.
They also have foot golf.
The mini golf is very simple. Just putting greens.

We visited the micro brewery expecting it to just be about beer, but were pleased to find that we could eat there too. I ordered the pulled pork Sandwich, since I was not very hungry, but the meal was substantial. The coleslaw was the best I have ever tasted, but whilst the quantity of pork on the Sandwich was generous, it had rather too much barbecue sauce added for my taste- it did not have the subtlety that pulled pork usually has. The food was very reasonably priced for Paphos. I am not a beer drinker but I decided to try a glass anyway and found it very mellow. It was relaxing in the courtyard surrounded by lush green hills.
We joined the tour, which was interesting and informative, and generally found the whole experience very enjoyable. The owner of the brewery is passionate about the quality of his product The family who own the brewery were very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely visit again if I was in Paphos in future. I might try the strawberry cider next time.

Called in here twice on holiday as it was on the way back to our apartment.
On the first occasion we were served by the owner who was more than generous with his measures. However on the second occasion a younger man actually measured out our drinks.
Serves most brands od beers and spirits but if you drink the locally made liquor it is obviously cheaper. Recommend the coffee which goes down well with a local brandy.
Overall, ok for a quick drink but wouldn't recommend it for a night out.

It is a prefect compliment to any visit the ancient sites surrounding paphos town. It is extremely easy on the walking ad visiting experience with facilities that cater for both the able bodied and disabled alike. It offers numerous photo opportunites for those looking for interest and enthralling backdrops and is easy on the pocket for those counting the pennies in the absence of and obligatory fee for the experience. That said I have little doubt that donations would not be unwelcome. Highly recommended.
