Was made to feel very welcome by Sam on arrival and the experience only got better, would even consider doing it all over again. Sam seems not only very knowledgeable but also very passionate about all aspects of gin making from the raw vodka, through the many botanicals on offer to the finished item. Many thanks to Adams for making this experience available and long may it continue for others to try, you won’t be disappointed

We booked this only a few days before visiting Bury, and managed to get a slot on a Friday lunchtime.
The tour was wonderful. The man who took us around was very knowledgable and was a genuine gem!
There were 12 people per session which I think was a perfect size. We had a little less during our tour which was even better!
We chewed on some hops and barley, walked all the way to the top of the brewery roof and even walked to a separate section across the road from the main brewery. It seems Green King own most of Bury!
The tasting at the end was obviously one of the best bits! We tasted all the beers and had a good chat with the tour guide and the other people in our group. We were all a little tipsy when leaving so be careful if you need to drive anywhere after!
Definitely recommend as a gift or for yourself - wonderful experience!

Abbey Gardens

Reviewed By William D - Paphos District, Cyprus

A lovely sunny afternoon gave us an excellent opportunity to stroll through this historical part of Bury St, Edmund's. Passing through the huge entrance one could not but wonder about the archaeological structure of this massive gateway.and on the other side, a huge beautiful landscaped garden with lots of history lay ahead. Being early spring the gardener's were busy mowing the lawns and planting shrubs for the summer displays .Plenty seats all around to just sit and admire the floral displays. A cafe for that welcome coffee break though only open at weekends at this time of the year . Look forward to another visit in the summer when the Gardens will be in full bloom.

Not sure I chose the correct dish but fancied something light, so went with the veggie option Tofu. Wife also went veggie, with falafel burger. Disappointed that main stars were not home made but the flavours were ok, not massive but ok. Good enough for the price. Good service, nice attentive staff, worthy of a tip. Cinema experience excellent as usual.

To be fair it was October so no flowers out but would probably look a lot nicer in the summer. They have an aviary which lots of children seemed to be enjoying.

Ickworth House

Reviewed By Alan R - Nottingham, United Kingdom

The grounds and Gardens are delightful, even on the windy cold day when we visited. There was an abundance of Spring lambs in the park, Crocuses, Hellebores and Daffodils were making their presence felt in the borders. Access for the disabled is tricky but not impossible. The NT guide book said that the house was open but on the day it was closed for cleaning and that was disappointing but we were able to access the house by going on a maintenance and conservator tour. There is the usual NT restaurant that serves light lunches, tea, coffee and snacks. It can get very busy so patience is necessary in the queue.
