Played two of the new rooms in the new facility in centrum. The Holy Grail and Alice in Wonderland. The Holy Grail was a real challenge with so nice interiors and really nice theme and riddles. Alice in Wonderland really feels like an adventure and you really loose track of time. You feel like you are in the Wonderland, totally my favorite room of all I have played. Quality of both of the rooms really really great!

The parks of Enkoping

People come from near and far to enjoy Enköping’s parks. We have around 20 parks, of varying character, where perennials have been generously used in large borders. Each park has its own style. The Dream Park, designed by the Dutch landscape architect and plantsman, Piet Oudolf, is the best-known park. In town, there are large parks with areas for playing, sports and picnics. We also have so-called pocket parks, small green oases nestled into the urban landscape with fascinating trees, shrubs and ground covering perennials. In the spring, the Magnolias and Sargent’s Cherries bloom in wonderful nuances of white and pink. At the same time, tulips, narcissi and other plants are bursting into flower. Through July, August and September, the tall, dazzling perennials take over the performance. Flowering in all the colours of the rainbow, they succeed each other during

Linnaeus' Hammarby

The small estate Hammarby, 15 km SE of Uppsala, was bought by Carl Linnaeus in 1758. He wanted a farm on the countryside where he could spend the summers together with his family, away from the unhealthy quarters of Uppsala. Today, few Swedish manor-houses preserve such an authentic milieu. It reflects the private life of Linnaeus as well as his scientific work.

This site, about 20 minutes outside of Uppsala, consists of several structures in which Linnaeus and his family spent their summers (and continued to live after Linnaeus died). The tour (you can book one in English) covers the main house and is quite informative; be sure to check out the other structures, including the little stone house up on the hill where Linnaeus moved his specimen collections to protect them from fire. Cafe on site has nice food that you can enjoy in the garden in summer - a nice way to spend a relaxing afternoon!
