Sweden has a large variety of nature and animals which I see as a luxury we can all enjoy. Wild Nordic is a company with a penchant for scenery and wildlife, a hope to see the wilderness highlights, together with a quest to get more people to see the beauty of nature. Our activities take place in Mid-Sweden, which is rich in animal and bird life, together with deep vast forests.

VIA FERRATA – CLIMBING FOR EVERYONE A unique adrenalin rush and a fantastic adventure in the High Coast World Heritage Site. Here, everyone has the chance to experience mountain climbing under the highest level of safety. No previous climbing experience is necessary, and only normal levels of fitness are required. Steel pegs and footholds have been fixed in place where natural footholds are lacking. Several hundred very strong steel anchor points have been drilled into Skule mountain’s 250 metre high east face and 1300 metres of steel cable have then been pulled through these anchor points, which are divided into four graded routes of varying difficulty. The equipment you hire from us consists of a helmet, a harness and a Y-shaped lanyard with two karabiners suitable for use on a Via Ferrata. You climb the mountain by holding onto the steel cable. Please note, the equipment requires a minimum weight for each climber of 40 kg (6 stone 5 pound) with a maximum weight of 140 kg (22 stone). Both karabiners should remain clipped to the cable whilst climbing, except when passing past an anchor point, when you unclip and re-attach only one karabiner at a time. The routes are not designed for children so this places additional demands on accompanying adults. They should be completely confident with heights, and should look after children they accompany at all times, especially when moving karabiners. For a safe and secure climb, there is a maximum of one child per accompanying adult.

The southern entrance is without a doubt the most used. From here it is close to Skuleskogen's biggest attraction, Slåttdalsskrevan.Once at the crevice, you can take a coffee break or a dip by the idyllic Tärnättvattnen or hike up to Slåttdalsberget for one of the High Coast's most beautiful views.

In the far reaches of northern Europe there is a place where the forces of nature have been working for 20,000 years to shape a dramatic landscape with the world’s highest coastline.

Welcome to North Mountain, a green oasis in Sundsvall and one of the region's most visited destinations. The combination of nature, culture, history, cafés, shops, playgrounds, barbecue areas and events attracts young and old, all year round. There is something for all ages and tastes.
Nice place for a walk, where you also can learn about history, see some animals (pigs, hens, sheeps) or just follow one of the paths in the forest (not for trolleys!) Wonderful view from the observation tower over Sundsvall city and the bay. There are places for a picknick (benches in the forest and grass for a picknick filt) and playground for kids.

Aaaaamazing trail, beautiful nature and a great view on top the mountains. It was an adventure to climp and walk to the top and I'm happy that we did it. We would recommend it to our friends if they are visiting Sweden. It is truly worth the effort.

Well! What a beautiful spot this is for hiking. Lakes, crevices, bathing spots, amazing views and well organised spots for lighting fires and shacks for overnighting. I can understand why it is so popular. We entered at the north entrance and hiked to the Tärnättholmarna the up to Tärnättsvatten and the high coast trail back to the northern entry. We took it easy and this hike is about 3-4 hours walking but stopping and so it took approximately 6 hours.
