A true family business, we offer award winning spirits and liqueurs in our boutique style tasting room in Penticton on the beautiful Naramata Bench. Master Distiller Jorg Engel uses sun-ripened locally grown fruit, grapes and wine. In 2017 our products won 2 Double Gold, one Gold and one Silver medal at the SIP Northwest Spirits Competition. We took some friends on a distillery tour of the South Okanagan and Maple Lead Spirits was by far the best experience. Barbara made all the difference, even though there was another couple sampling with us she made everyone feel like it was a personal experience. Her knowledge and general passion for the spirits she is presenting to us made for a very memorable experience. And I haven’t even mentioned the spirits. A good variety distilled in the German tradition made us feel like we were back in Bavaria. Just a note, the Maple Liqueur makes an excellent martini when chilled and paired with some Okangan Vodka.

An absolute MUST go for Book Lovers of all ages. Easily spent over an hour in here and would’ve spent many more had it not been for impatient kids. Loved all the unique and quirky corners and surprise finds. Left will nearly a dozen books (only because I couldn’t carry anymore)... I’ll be back.

Laughing Stock Vineyards gives you a really personal tasting experience where you have to book in advance to be able to access the premises, and the nonce there, you have a 30-45 min tasting of their amazing wines, while enjoying the amazing views of the valley they have. You must book in advance and it is difficult to find availabilities so plan in advance otherwise you will miss a great time. The staff is also clearly passionate, love their wines, and to talk and share everything about them too. We ended up leaving with many bottles and we will be back for more since they offer some wines you cannot find anywhere else. Of course, their flagship Portfolio is probably one of the best red wines in the region and in the country. And do try their blind trust, where you do not know what you are drinking and try to discover each varietal in it, which change every year.

Always a wonderful experience at Pentage! We often bring visitors, as the wines are lovely, the tastings fun and informative, view is awesome and they have the only amazing wine cave in town! Julie and Paul know how to do it right.

Having spent a few days in Penticton and the are we visited this winery by chance on the last day. It was the best by far with great wines and the personable and very informative Emily. The tasting room built by 2 of the 4 sons (shadows) was lovely and Emily discussed the wines, processes and how each gets is subtle flavours in an easy to understand way. My daughter will now be able to educate her university friends. The Riesling was exceptional and Emily’s description of the the different tastes that you would encounter was spot on. A worthy gold medal winner. Definitely take time to visit.

They were sold out of most of their usual wines as it is so late in the year. We tried the 3 fortified wines and really liked them all. Our host was super friendly and knowledgeable. Our favorites of the 3 fortified wines we tried were the N V Liqueur Muscat and the Vintage Port. We will keep ordering both and will have it on our must stop each time we visit the area.
