On our beach hunting trip, this was our lunch stopI don't think they get a lot of daytime customers as it took 15 minutes to get, from somewhere, change for a 1000 baht note, hmmmmm..But the food was greatRice with curry seafood and spicy seafood glass noodle were both filling and yummyand a nice view out as well

Aalto restaurant is located near the beach at Aava Resort. The setting is stylish and the staff are polite. We went in for a friday night BBQ with high hopes but it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The food was average, nothing special, and there weren't too much of choices. Not definitely worth the +1000 baht/person.Dear Timo M,sorry to hear about your experience and thank you for letting us know your thoughts.During the year all special events at Aalto restaurants has been improved a lot. On a low season when there is not that much customers, it might be difficulties to keep up with multiple choices but that of course should be compensate some other way. I truly can't praise this restaurant and the food enough! I feel lucky and blessed at the same time, that I found "The 14 Khanom", because it made my stay in Khanom very special. I sat there one afternoon drinking a pineapple shake, when Oy, who runs the place with her husband Frederic, invited me to the birthday party of her son. It was my first evening in town and I celebrated among locals and french expats like I was one of their friends, getting stuffed with the most amazing and yummy thai-food and meat-sticks from the bbq. I even got a piece of the birthday cake :-)The following ten days I came back almost every evening to have dinner at "The 14 Khanom". I absolutely love their concept, that you have to tell them in the morning or the evening before, what you want for dinner (at night/the next day), so that they can buy all the ingredients on the market. Everything is super fresh and the high quality of the food shows in the taste. Every meal I had was just delicious (and I have had lots of other thai food before, that I can compare this to)! My favorite dish is a special creamy coconut-soup, which you probably won't find at any other restaurant. I would say, that it's Oy's personal signature dish. I can't describe it in any other way: It's an orgasm for your taste-buds.Besides serving fantastic food, Frederic and Oy are just the nicest people you can imagine. They are funny, kind, generous and treat you like family. You can also rent a scooter from them for 200 Baht a day, which is a really good price and will even get cheaper, the longer you rent. I can't recommend this place highly enough and I hope that you will one day make it to Khanom - even if it's just to enjoy one of their meals.

We had food from this place for takeaway. I had red curry and my husband took vegetables with rice. We both loved our dishes. Mine was exactly the level of spicy that I asked for. Portions were generous and products very fresh. The owner is super friendly and speaks good English, which is unusual for this area. She gave us tomatoes as a bonus, because we asked for them, but they were not in the menu. Will definitely return to this place, when in this area.

Can be ignored if you are looking for local thai cuisine. When I dine, there were many people who ordered western food, so I guess we came to the wrong place for thai food. The sand is soft and the beach is clean. Atmosphere is nice as there are music playing and a bar to serve alcoholic drink.We are very sorry that you didnât get a chance to taste our Thai dishes as we are famous with our Thai food in the local community.

This is the place to be in khanon if youâre willing to eat awesomely frenchy food!!The beach view is great, Julien and Stephanie are so kind with you! Definitely the place to eat and relax.Accommodation is available with so cute little bungalows. A pool has just been added to the amenities..Will be back for sure

Wonderful owner couple. Great service. Most importantly All food is heavenly good. We were in Khanom many days and almost every evening we ate in DG. Every time chef, the owner Miki, made Great food and drink recommendations. The desserts were also delicious. They even pick up you from hotel if you need it. We highly recommend!

This small beach town has a limited number of restaurants so finding a great place to eat, especially off-season can be hard. However, we've discovered Khun Lee's and found it to be one of the best restaurants in Khanom. It ticks all the boxes for me - great selection, large portions, fresh, delicious seafood, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere, and reasonable prices. As a regular visitor to Khanom, Khun Lee's has become my go-to place for a great meal with the family.Dear sir,Thank you so much for wonderful review hope to see you next visit.

Second time here and I wasn't dissapointed. A good sized Thai/Asian/Western menu that was fresh and the drinks were enjoyed whilst sitting on the patio deck and being serenaded by the breaking waves. Service is good and it really does give you the "Tropical Paradise" feeling.
