Love Sjöko, just wish so many things were not missing on the menu.Båstad really needs places like Sjöko! One of very few good eateries.Good and friendly service. Nice location.Menu caters for most, however very few green options. The grilled artichoke was very minimalistic, and you are still hungry when plate is empty.Great mussels!When we visited there were no olives, no rose wine, no other meat option but the burger and no trout. A bit disappointing.Still, Sjöko could be a gem if the menu was in order.

Rigtig velsmagende crepes, vi fik en med kylling og en med krebsesalat. De 3 unge kvinder arbejde struktureret og hurtigt og vi fik vores crepes hurtigt og de smagte vidunderligt. Beliggenheden er dejlig ved lystbådehavnen!

We went here on a Friday to have their BBQ buffet. Unfortunately the experience was not as expected. Firstly, the meat was grilled and then kept warm in a container with a lid so you didn't know for how long it had been there. The pieces I took was cold though so I guess it had been there for a while. I can understand the difficulties with keeping meat warm and ready on a constant basis for all the dinner guests, but I would have liked to have the meat cooked a la minute and I'm pretty sure that the guests would understand and be okay with waiting a few minutes for their meat to get ready if it (the concept) would have been communicated when arriving and sitting down at the table.Secondly, the service was a bit "strange". The staff seemed a bit junior. We ordered a bottle of wine and while we went to get food apparently the wine was served as we came back and are glasses were all filled up. None of us tasted the wine before serving it to the whole table and the glasses was standing at the places where they thought it would be (and it got a bit wrong). When we were paying, up at the counter, they asked us where we were sitting, we showed them but still we got the wrong bill. We also heard that the two tables behind us also got the wrong bill. When the last couple in the restaurant was going to pay (up at the counter) they also had to point out where they had been sitting in order for the staff to know which bill was theirs?! Besides the meat being cold, the side dishes was also just average. The carrots and beet roots should have been cooked some more and the bearnaise sauce should have been warm. Paying the price we did for the BBQ buffet and being at this well known restaurant, I was expecting more. Now the experience was that you paid a lot for the environment/location and not so much for a quality food experience.On top of this, I also got sick about two hours after eating and had to spend the night in the bathroom. I really like the location of this restaurant as it's located at the end of a road, in the nature reserve and on a "cliff" but I am not tempted to eat here again and especially not their BBQ buffet.

It is a nice place where you can sit outdoors and get something connected with fish to eat. Not being the fish-eater type of person, it was not very much to choose between. If you like fish it can be a good choice.

Härlig miljö. Trevlig utegÃ¥rd. Personal som var hur trevliga som helst. Fanns tvÃ¥ rätter att välja pÃ¥. Ãggaost med fläsk, är som fläskpannkaka men godare. Eller friterad spätta. Härlig salladsbuffé. Här mÃ¥ste man bara stanna för att fÃ¥ en lunch.

à t lunch med familjen här. Härlig havsutsikt, avslappnad atmosfär (hälften av gästerna har badkläder - typ), mysig veranda. Maten god. Vi åt pasta carnonara, köttbullar samt sallad med friterad chevre (bild). Allt mycket gott.

This is a charming, small French bistro with good food and good service. The impression could be even better if the portions were smaller. Yes, I know you don't have to eat it all. But, still...Grodlar & Timjan is together with Sand the two best options for a very good dinner in Bastad.

Me and my lady booked a romantic spa-weekend to bring some light into the dark nordic winter. We have both been here earlier on different business functions. When we checked in the pre-booked champagne failed to materialize. The afternoon tea was ok, even if there was hard to find a place to sit. Cutlery came when prompted.The room is of ok standard even if very small.The highlight for me was their spa treatment ânew manâ, thanks for that!Two dinners were included, three courses. The food was fancily presented but lacked taste and careful cooking. The last evening we decided to leave the table before dessert, it took just too long time (it was jusr cheese, whatâs the problem?). They promised to send it to our room - we have not seen it yet...All in all, for the cost, hardly worth the money. They also have to pay more attention to service and how they meet their guests.
