This little unassuming eatery is just off the town square. They specialise in seafood although you can get pretty much anything there. Don't let the outside with the live caged crabs put you off, it's very clean inside with a few tables and polished glasses at the ready. The chef and staff are so friendly and were willing to provide whatever we wanted even though it was not exactly on the menu. We decided on 20 prawns and chips between the two of us. Chef was worried about the lack of vegetables so he made us a little cold veggie salad which was delicious. The prawns were a decent size and had a good fresh flavour. It was actually too much food for us both, we couldn't finish it and the whole lot including two drinks came to less than $20. I highly recommend this little place, give it a try.

We just went in for a coffee a couple of times. Nice place, friendly staff and apparently they have live music some evenings. Pretty good coffee and better than usual selection of teas, plus very very tasty chocolate brownie! The only proper food they have is chilli, which from other reviews might not be worth bothering with.... It's right opposite where the buses leave from so a good place to wait if you're early.

The restaurant and the Mindo Coffee Lodge is absolutely fabulous. We spent 1 night at the hotel and, although we usually explore local restaurants, we ate every meal at the Coffee Lodge. The empanadas, coffee, and drinks are absolutely fabulous. The owner is an amazing cook. She also offers cooking lessons, which I recommend as well. The was one of the best meals we had in Ecuador. You have to eat here if you visit Mindo!Thank you so much for taking time to write a nice review. We will appreciate it. Had a delicious sandwich here while waiting for the bus. Couple tables. The owner is very 'simpatica' prices very reasonable from 2.50$ on. I had and avocado sandwich that had ham but I'm vegetarian so owner took out ham and added more veg! The place is tiny and quaint and apparently they serve beer etc later into the night.. always good to know where to grab a quick snack good and fresh products with choice of 3 types of breads too! I recommend

I came here with friends in the evening to watch the Superbowl. Such beauty in the thatched wood enclosure that has a cathedral ceiling. Open walls admitted the sound of croaking frogs, while we ate and watched the game. We had wonderful fresh trout fillets for dinner, along with Pilsner beer and wine. Location is just outside of the center of Mindo, far enough to not hear the noise of town.

I had the vegetarian arepa and it was delicious. Such good value. The guy wasnât the friendliest but the food was tasty. This place is in the centre of town just up from the park towards the bus station â donât follow the map there is here as it takes you outside town in completely the wrong direction.

I Can recommend this Tour, itâs $10 pp weâll worth it, takes around an hour our guide Sergei was so informative and told us so much about the chocolate production from growing to the actual finished chocolate product every part of the chocolate plant is used even the rusks used to make chocolate tea which is good for Altitude sickness. All the chocolate produced here is all organic. At the end your given different types of chocolate flavour to try and can blend your own flavours and some chocolate tea to try. Excellent tour and well worth a visit. Itâs also a restaurant so you can have something to eat before or after your tour. This lovely restaurant prides itself on fresh, local food, cooked really well. The soup and salad change daily and you order your protein separately. The steaks are particularly excellent. Nice people too. We went twice in three days!
