December 4, 2021 Terina Blouin

The Principality of Monaco, a small city-state overlooking the pristine blue waters of the Mediterranean, is a place famed for its glamour and wealth. The Palais Princier, former home of Princess Grace and current home of her son, Prince Albert II, is at the top of the cliff-bound medieval Monaco-Ville. More well known is Monte Carlo, a neighborhood soaked in sun, money, and expensive champagne, and home to the Formula One Monaco Grand Prix, the European Poker Tour, and the Monte Carlo Rally.

My favourite view on the French Riviera. There is a little hike involved so make sure you have appropriate shoes but it’s not too hard. There is also gardens and the walk leading to the Palace is so beautiful!

A wonderful experience to overlook the magnificent harbour. It is well worth the effort to gain height to secure those memorable vantage points and capture them on your camera.

Port de Fontvieille

Reviewed By Sharle941003 - Cape Town Central, South Africa

Dramatically situated beneath the Princes Palace on the cliff that is Monaco Ville, Fontvielle is a charming oasis after the noisy chaotic building site which is modern Monaco. There are around a dozen fairly unpretentious and reasonably priced (particularly at lunchtime) local restaurants and bars. The Harbor is sparkling with a sprinkling of super and not so super yachts.

Place du Palais

Reviewed By sophiapt - Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Iconic point for panorama view of the city and entire harbour of Monaco. Courtyard is big but empty, very clean indeed. Change guards at 11.55AM everyday but I didn't want to wait around as heard it's always too crowded. It was nice enough for magnificent view and the route to walk up on top of the hill was pleasant. It's a highlight visit while you're in Monaco.
