The tranquil setting of Kartause Ittingen is reason enough to visit but it also boasts some lovely gardens and a monastery which shows you how the monks used to live and work. There is also a modern art museum and a fabulous art room for youngsters to paint and draw as much as they like. When you have finished taking in all the sights you can have some lovely food and drink in the restaurant or buy some produce made at the estate. A thoroughly enjoyable visit.
